My dad was absent from my life until I was almost 19. He had substance issues for a long time, and I lived a fairly self-centered life. Turns out, I’m able to forgive him and I don’t need his approval, nor do I need to collude with him in some perceived evil. I simply embrace that he’s a broken person in need of God’s grace and healing, just like the rest of us. And we’ve had some great bonding, healing moments, and my grace towards him has genuinely impacted his life and heart. I don’t know how constructive it is to simply go around trying to classify people in this way. The Bible calls for us to examine the log in our own eyes before we examine the spec in others. A dark, lifeless lake can notice the dark lifelessness of another lake, and it changes the nature of neither.

Don't confuse evil vs. goodness with right vs. wrong. Evil can be right, and goodness can do wrong. What is important is morals - morals - the knowledge of what is right, is the tool with which heaven dominates Goodness and Evil. Ignorance is used to dominate over the good and over the evil. Goodness quite often discovers what is right with the help of others. Evil quite often discovers what is right thanks to pain and intelligence. Heaven is 'beyond' goodness and evil and to persecute evil only because evil is evil, is wrong. 'The path to hell is paved with Good intentions' and goodness will do wrong there where there is ignorance and no help. . . . .and if goodness does wrong, it is the good one that needs redressing, not the evil one. Evil might be right. Wise advice? Seek what is right, seek morals - and be aware that you might be wrong. Humility! Don't fight evil - you might senselessly waste resources. Seek instead to do the right thing. Morals is made out of many concepts: amongst which honesty, justice, rectitude, etc. - each of these concepts help choose the right behaviour.
