Bro, u are killing it. Love your videos and your recent content more than anything out there. On a side note it's crazy how parallel your life is to mine. I am going into year 3 of living on my 7 acre homestead. And I am learning so much by watching your videos and it is def going to help me navigate grazing my sheep/goat/cow fleard this summer

Hey Steven, thanks for sharing! I have been following you since your early days in San Diego, and love your content and patient way you explain everything! We finally moved to our homestead on 8 acres and are looking into sheep. We do not have any fencing and were considering electric netting. I have this for our chickens and it does take a long time to rearrange it to move to fresh pasture. We will definitely look into high tensile wire now! Also - do you have a video on why you chose your breeds of sheep and have you needed to deworm them yet? I have had conflicting info from other KZbinrs on this - St.Croix being most resistant of hair sheep, followed by Kathadin then Dorper, but St.Croix has less meat per animal than Dorper and they only show good parasite resistance if you run them on hundreds of acres like Greg Judy is doing. You may still need to deworm St.Criox on 8 acres even with rotation. Is deworming actually harmful for the animal and bad for us when we eat the meat? Interested to hear your thoughts on this.

I think all I've shown is how I manage the sheep and the electric set up. The only de-wormer I'll ever give is basic H or a natural one, never the chemical kind. I just got Katahdin genetics to cross breed giving bigger size. The point of never using the hardcore de-wormer is to create better genetics that never need any treatments. It's a philosophy I'll never use them, it damages soil, effects animals maximum health. Just start running animals and all these questions will get answered.

@@NaturesAlwaysRight Thanks Steven! Yes - you are right, we should just get some sheep and learn by experience :-) I tend to over-research everything! I'll look into basic H, I have not heard of this. I use homeopathy on myself and my family and cina 6x I know is the homeopathic dewormer. I've used that on my chickens before.
