I didn’t know anything about GA but as a kid watched my favorite guitarist Phil Keaggy play a custom GA style cutaway for him and loved the sound since. I also like the idea of having a cutaway for upper fret access easier. I’ve grown to appreciate other bodies more but I still favor that sound from a GA cutaway. The Alvarez Artist series was my happy moment because I can’t afford a expensive guitar but I don’t like the beginner guitars since I’m a little better and the Artist series is far better than others in its price range. Hopefully I can afford a Masterwork or Yari one day.

I bought a dread, then i bought a GA, now i only play the GA and sold the dread. Best of both worlds for sure.

I’ve got a Eastman AC508CE that’s my finest instrument 👌 big fan of grand auditorium models and the massive amount of stuff you can do with them

As a guitar lover, I’ll play any shape or tonewood pairing and find something wonderful in it. The GA that I own, a Taylor, sounds rich to me, but not boomy. I’d call the bass more refined and tight. Couldn’t choose which model I liked best, but as Dee played, I liked each one a little more as he went along.

My go to acoustic is my Vintage DY85A Alvarez Yairi that looks as good today as it did when built, but whose sound has aged like a Fine Wine

My 2 Guitars are Dreadnought and Grand Auditorium, they cover so many styles. Missed you Guy's, nice to see you back.

I watched the video and was really impressed with these guitars (esp the MG75). Then I checked the prices - I can't believe the TONE and quality you are putting into these guitars for the price. As much as I love my Yairi and want to get another one, these MGs are outstanding!

I strum aggressively and play loudly, so I have adhered to a “bigger is better” approach to body style. As such, I have always played dreadnoughts and most recently, jumbos. I do have one GA, and it is an Alvarez 8 string…it’s very cool! The smaller body, gives the octave strings good chime, and I like the slightly brighter tone, overall. And, the day will come, when the smaller body will make it easier / more comfortable to play, especially when I sit…. Trying to wrap around a jumbo while seated is not easy.

I tried the AG610CEARSB. Love the fit, finish and quality of construction. The sound? It blew me away as it sounded as good as my Takamine Jumbo dreadnought. Going to buy that one. The Yairi is probably the only high-end acoustic guitar I will ever buy!

I have a Taylor 414ce in Tasmanian Blackwood and Sitka. It is more comfortable than a dreadnaught, without sacrificing tone and volume when you dig in. It sounds sweet when finger picked and is a versatile guitar...it does everything well. I love the new tone wood combinations that Alvarez is using with the Cedar and Redwood tops. I might have to add one to my collection.

The Cedar Rosewood sounded fantastic to me. If the mic was placed at the 12 fret instead of at the soundhole it would have sounded even better with less woof coming out of the soundhole.
@AlvarezGuitarsOfficial8 ай бұрын
Hi! It’s the camera angle, the mic is always placed exactly between the 12th fret and the sound hole. Thanks for watching and your feedback, I also love the cedar, it’s on my wishlist! All the best, Anthony. Dee

Cedar and rosewood just takes off that slight over brightness of spruce. Think if i was to buy another that'd be it.

Grew up on a dreadnought, too cumbersome. Playing a Modern Concert body since last year, too bright. I miss my GA, that I played a couple years before the Concert, more and more. Perfectly sweet and deep sound. Tho I love the playing comfort of the Concert body.
