Apehangers on a Vrod work if they are the thick ones with a 1-1/2” diameter to match the frame. But the smaller one inch bars are gross. They look like they’ve been pulled an old bicycle with a banana seat from the 70s.

I just purchased my 2004 VRod and I'd like some more height and pull back.....yeah well those bars look terrible 🫣

@@jimanders9971 performance *cruiser* It is very much one of if not the fastest stock cruisers ever made. Anything that will run into the 11s shaped like that is fast, most cruisers do mid 13s with some sneaking into the 12s. They are all slow compared to anything else, but in the world of the cruisers the V-rod is very fast. Quite a lot in the tens with not many mods.

@@MrLilredmachine It wont keep up with my stock Triumph Rocket, not even close . And it is only very fast……for a Harley.

@@jimanders9971 on a full dig start with competent riders the old R3 and the V-rod are extremely close. Times for proper drag riders on both bikes float around the 11.3/4/5 second mark. Most 'average' riders struggle to get anything lower than a low 12/high 11 out of the old Rocket or V-rod. On a roll I'm sure the torque of the R3 would win it. The new R3 and the old V-rod certainly the R3 would walk it. Ricky Gadson (if you aren't familiar, is Kawasaki's factory drag rider) only got a 10.526 quarter mile out of the new R3 after several runs and fiddling with the settings of the bike. That makes it about as fast ultimately as a 20 yr old FZS1000 Yamaha. I would imagine most average joe riders are capable of putting down a low to mid 11 on the new rocket, (MCN in the UK ran an 11.07 with their not exactly novice journeyman journalist rider) which let's face it isn't fast either. There are physical limits to what 300kgs can be made to do! Hence performance *cruiser*

That's not how you ride a V-rod. Not even scratching the surface, this is not your standard H-D.
