I’ve noticed a lot of YTers in my niche jump on the tik tok train and I’ve been really tempted. I really like the idea of testing videos to be repurposed as shorts on YT so if I do start, that is probably going to be the main use for me. I can’t imagine 10/day though - that is a lot!

KZbin videos are my main income source (ads, sponsors, Patreon etc) After 2 years on TikTok with 160K followers and millions of views I have seen no benefit from the time spent. The TikTok audience doesn't migrate to the KZbin for long form video and income from TikTok is laughable. The same can be said for KZbin shorts, tens of millions of views from people who don't go on to support the long form content. I was hoping the video title of why I need to be on TikTok would provide some insight into some unknown benefit, but so far all I can see is vanity numbers with zero return on the time invested in the platform. Concentrating on long form content seems to be way more beneficial than spending too much time on short form content.

Absolutely, I'm on Tiktok (thanks to Gary Vee). Rachel breaks Tiktok down so perfectly in this interview. Huge value! She is to Tiktok what Sean is to KZbin IMO. Biggest takeaway was the simple description of her repurposing strategy. My aim is to scale up my Tiktoks to longer-form for YT and to scale down my KZbin videos and audio podcasts for Tiktok. I already repost to Reels and Stories using Tiksave but want to get better at consistently reposting to all the channels as she describes.

This was a really good video and though I understand the power of Tik Tok and I really want to return to uploading there, I'm trying to focus on KZbin. We really have to be mindful of not overworking ourselves before we are generating the income to outsource some of our work. I just know myself.
