Do you want to experience lucid dreaming, or have you already done so?
@41Duck5 жыл бұрын
Given my dreams of late, I'd prefer to not dream at all.
@drunkenmonkey2545 жыл бұрын
I have fairly regularly since I was a child. I never found them that exciting, but maybe because I usually experience sleep paralysis following a lucid dream.
@BriefBrainSnacks5 жыл бұрын
Joseph Green yeah, I think I would avoid lucid dreaming if I experienced sleep paralysis.

Diogenes TheDog so many people have mentioned to me about their ability to lucid dream while younger. I haven’t seen in the literature anything about an age effect on lucid dreaming, but this has seriously peaked my curiosity. I’ll probably look into this once I finish up the research for my next video!

I like the feeling of remembering when seeing something that resembles 5 percent of what dreamed. I feel like I am more connected and smarter than I am.

I can lucid dream and can controle them very well. If I take 5htp or. Zma helps the dreams last longer when u realise you are dreaming. When I was learning how to do it I set my alarm late at night. When u wake up real quick to shut it off and go back to sleep with a thought. I was able to jump into a lucid dream real quick.

James Kilgore thanks! I’m glad you enjoy my videos and feel free to share with others who you think will also enjoy. A lot of the recognition on KZbin is just about getting lucky or going the slow route via word of mouth. Whichever way my channel grows, I enjoy making these videos and sharing what I know with others. ✌️❤️🧠

@@BriefBrainSnacks I had a girlfriend who would have a recurring episode with a man in a hat, who hovered above her. I've beard this "guy with a hat" is a classic experience. In my only other episode, I started to see a guy with a hat approaching me, but was able to wake up before it actually materialized.

@@BriefBrainSnacksI was standing in my house, and I flew around in there for a bit, flew outside our atmosphere, and saw other planets, flew through objects, ate chocolate cake, and flew some more. And it was all MEGA realistic. Like no difference AT ALL to real life. I just remembered what I wanted to do when I was in a dream. Luck?
@MrHanichak25 жыл бұрын
When I was young I always had this recurring dreams that I always was confirmed in complete control over. The big things that I knew that it was a lucid dream was the fact that I could fly but not in the way that you would think of. The only way I could fly is to run around in a circle and then kick off and Float around and Central Access Point I finally realized I could push myself higher and higher but not go anywhere but around in a circle. Really annoying I know! Thanks Breeze brain facts!

A lot of my flying dreams consist of me flying for a bit, usually to get away from some angry mob, and then I come crashing down to the earth out of control! I always wanted to get a hang of it, but I just never was able to do so. Sounds like you’ve gotten a hang of it to some degree!

I went back into the same dream twice, once after waking up to use the restroom, the second time after being the 10th caller to win a radio prize. The technique is simple. Imagine standing with your arms spread out to your sides, in a totally white room. I imagine standing inside a ping pong ball. After getting a good visual of yourself, imagine rotating counter-clockwise. With some practice you will learn this ability."

I've read that smoking cannabis actually suppresses one's ability to recall their dreams, and as an avid smoker, I can concur that I hardly ever remember my dreams anymore.
@BriefBrainSnacks5 жыл бұрын
It doesn’t necessarily surprise recall, it tends to interfere with REM sleep itself. So, you may not easily go into REM sleep as regularly as you would have otherwise.

Also, myoclonus (or a myoclonic twitch) can and does interrupt the the transfer from hypnogogic state to REM sleep, especially near the beginning of the sleep cycle. :)

But it can also let one know that REM sleep is imminent and help prepare for lucid dreaming.

I have had lucid dreams--but not for many, many years. I've slept like shit for at least a decade and a half, even less the past 2 years or so: 4 hrs a day is about my average. 2 is not unheard of.

I have reality dreams here and there. Usually, they revolve around my Mom and I interacting and she is, for all intents and purposes, actually there. In the beginning, they seemed odd, or scary, or weird. Today, I relish them and enjoy seeing Mom and/or Dad again. I learn from them, I love them and feel their love in return. The dreams are welcome and wonderful. Now, if I could just have some reality dreams were I finally find a wife. And then there’s the dreams were I am running naked down a mountain side and the flying eggplant lizards keep nipping off the tree bud that are growing out of the top of my planter-shaped head. Those aren’t the reality kind of dreams. I think.🤣😂😘

Here is a technique I learned for lucid dreaming. Look at an inanimate object, then look away and ask yourself, "am I dreaming?", then look back at the object. If it changed, you're dreaming. Use my technique for returning into a dream, if you wake yourself up. See below...

Dave Matheson this is akin to those reality checks I mention in the video. Do you know how long it took for you to lucid dream when you began doing this?

It did not take more than a few weeks. It always works better in extended sleep. That is to say after a good 7 hrs, when your dreams can get really vivid.
