I’m doing my bathroom now in Behr’s Le Luxe. Walls in satin. Ceiling, trim, cabinets and door in high gloss. The only thing that is white is the fixtures.

I did a color drench in my bedroom in Behr’s Tanzanite and Black Sapphire, with jewel toned accessories like silver and gold, mustard, aqua, pink and purple. It’s dark and delightful! I did the window walls in matte Tanzanite. The rest of the walls and ceiling in matte Black Sapphire. The closest doors, trim and baseboards in high gloss along with the door (both sides and frame), except I did a coat of clear coat on top. It’s fabulous with the different sheens of the same color!

What about light switches?

I paint my switch plates and plug plates, or you can use black plates if you are going dark. If you are painting them, carefully remove them with the power off, and paint them separately. Do this when you are painting the wall under the plates. If you can, hire a professional electrician to change the plug and light switch color to black, too. But it’s not necessary. I left mine the beige it originally was, and just painted/changed the plates.
