After flipping four Peugeot 107s, I finally managed to get a mk2 Aygo which I've been planning to get since we moved to the UK. Perfect 2nd car or city car. Toyota badge also always feels more premium and designwise, this is the best among the three models.

Bought a 3 door X-cite to teach my kids to drive. It's a great little car. Quite like driving it myself. So far no problems....and really easy to service it yourself too.

Good to hear that, Mark. I think I am going to have a go at servicing mine myself, too. Such a great car to start out with. Bet the kids will love it!

The boot space means you can fit 4 full Tesco shopping bags upright and then scream around a couple of round abouts and they are still stood upright when you get home!

Best review of the Aygo MK2 on the internet!🤣

50% more power than the Ford Anglia I had as a first car! Clutch is not the best to find the bite point but overall it's one of the best cars I've owned. Bought it to teach my youngest lad to drive and fell in love with it. It's so light you can throw it through corners and it goes like the proverbial off a shiny shovel! Prefer it to many other cars I've owned over a 60 year driving life. It's cheap to run and frugal on fuel. Brilliant little motor! Real value for money. Mine is an 08 plate had 53000.on it when bought and has done 65000 now with very little cost.

All the things I love about it too, Rod. I love that I've not had to spend a penny on it in 6 months. Long may that continue!

We had an aygo but unfortunately was not practical enough due to the rubbish boot space. Reliable yes like many other cars. I now have a mazda and love it.

Thanks for adding to this, Phyllis. Did you end up going for one of the larger Mazda's or something like a Mazda 2?

Too bad my 2017 Aygo X-style is with 180quid Road Tax. Insurance I got ~600. Got mine for 27k mileage at 8000. Complains: High clutch, No X-Nav (I thought I bought one), just an X-Touch, probably the usual rust within the wheels/bolts due to the car being used. Overall, a great go to car for me and I am still learning to understand driving at the other side and road rules here in the UK.

Yes, the clutch takes a good while to get used to. I honestly think if I were to buy an Aygo again, I'd go auto, just because it would be so much easier. That, and you spend an inordinate amount of time in traffic, well, at least I do, ha! Glad your liking it overall, though. I think it's a great little car.

Alright youve convinced me looking for an aygo😅 i currently own a 325 e91. I know its a huge car compared to the aygo but i can live with it i always travel alone and ive had smaller cars(smallest was the vw lupo or seat mii but they werent mine)

@@jamieaygo yea i checked the video and im stoked to check one out. Its a bit expensive compared to yours but its close to my house. Its an 2018 black with a silver cross on the front ~100k miles(129k km) for €9250. Or is this too expensive?
@jamieaygo8 ай бұрын
If it's for an X-Trend model then that tracks to similar prices over here with 100,000 miles on the clock. If it's for anything lower, like the X-Cite, Xpression or the X-Play, it should be cheaper. I've seen an X-Trend model with 100,000 miles on the clock for 7995 GBP, which is similar to the price of the car you have seen. Hope that helps.

Hey Jamie, do you feel the AC kicking in and out every now and then? I have one similar to yours but my god, the AC keeps going on and it causes so much drag and juttery feeling when driving!
@jamieaygo Жыл бұрын
Hey, Jack. It's something you certainly hear and it can be a bit loud when it comes on. I find the intermittent fan-whirling noise that comes on to cool the engine equally annoying, ha!
@JackpodyDK Жыл бұрын
@@jamieaygo It really is! I hear mine as well, but do you feel it kick in while driving? It saps so much engine performance!
@jamieaygo Жыл бұрын
I'll have to keep an eye out for this. It's not something I've consciously noticed, but I'll see if it does hinder performance. I notice sometimes you feel a bit of a kick when it comes on, but I haven't noticed if performance dips at the same time. Your issue seems quite a common one on the Toyota Owners Club forum. If you type in "aygo mk2 ac makes car slow" in google, it should be the first result that pops up. It may be that the air filter is clogged or the car is just due a service. A lot of the comments seem to point to the air filter as the issue. Might be worth having a look.

Toyota reliability is almost uncanny! Whereas Audi quality is a bit of a myth😂
