The interior and a quite a few other components changed after 1985.5. That being said, the 1982-1985.5 is GORGEOUS inside. The gauge cluster is absolutely nutty

The interior is waaaaay nicer than most especially by today's standards. Not a single part of it creaks, the leather is insanely thick and everything is rock solid, sure, your clock may be broken, but hey, it's almost 40 year old plastic. Definitely not a beginner car though, rather expensive to keep going/ work on, and with the transaxle layout a very difficult car to change much mechanically

Not bad! But rather than that the 944 is like an rx7, it's more the case that the rx7 is like the 944. The first RX7 copied the styling of the 924.

Just bought a 944. 1983 My wife who owns a 2016 Cayman said she never liked the 944 or the 928. After 1 day in the driveway. She now loves the 944

@@mfsusanoo7238 I drive mine as my main car now. The heater works really good so it's not a problem when it's cold. It's a pretty comfortable car. No more difficult than driving a new Cayman as a daily driver.

My favorite Porsche. Ironically i actually own a FC rx7. Ive driven both and i will say the rx7 is superior in every way. The FC used that design as insulation so the 944 had the styling first.
