I wore crochet twice last year. 5-6 weeks each time. My hair has grown a couple inches. I spray rosemary and fenugreek on my scalp and use rosemary/cayenne/clove oil ro reduce hair loss. I wash it too. I love it.

Girl! Like you said, crochet hair is everywhere! I just got my crochets done yesterday. My braid lady likes the hair I'm using so much that she recommends it to her other crochet customers. I get it from Amazon. I always wash the hair before it's installed.

Thank you for speaking on this it’s so ridiculous that you used to be able to go to a hairdresser who is knowledgeable about hair care and hair health. Now you have to come with your hair washed. They don’t know anything about nourishing your hair much less anything outside of pulling your hair out of your scalp to put in braids that cost more than some of our car notes😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫 it’s ridiculous. Lia girl thank you. I’ve been a crochet girl for years now and not trying to do any other style. I love that after a few weeks I can take it out and let me hair breath and back in again. Tried the wig thing but not for me because it feels like my hair can’t breathe, while crocheting allows the hair to breathe. ❤❤

I haven’t worn crochet braids since 2022 because I only keep the hair in for 3 weeks. I workout 5 days a week and HATE stinky hair. Washing my hair with weave in just does not clean to my level of comfort. I’m excited to switch up my look for Valentine’s Day with crochet locs, but I keep pushing my install date back because I don’t want sweat repeatedly drying in my head. Hopefully the locs will be durable enough for me to take them down, thoroughly wash my hair and the locs separately, then reapply in March. The struggles of being a fit girlie 😂

Yes.... I wore my 2nd wig ever this weekend (the 1st I made) this 1 I bought & it's a yes. I've had it for like 3 yrs & never wore it... when I put it on my hair was longer than it but it's curly hair so my hair blended so well. Imagine only having to style 5-10% of your hair instead of 💯. Wigs are going to be my new winter hat. 😅

First of all, a moment for the makeup!!!!! Moving on, In THIS economy, sis I love doing my own hair! I get better and better overtime too. I won't give anybody my coins, because I work hard too and prefer to spend it on shoes and handbags. The prices of these hairstylists are basically designer shoes that I'll wear MULTIPLE times!! Only for me to wear the hair for 4-6 weeks and then pay them to take it down too?! no thanks. My mama says I don't like hairdressers to eat, my bad!
