Why You Should Get A Cold Air Intake

I recently got a K&N cold air intake for my 2014 Ford SVT Raptor and thought I'd let you guys know what I think about it as well as what you can expect to get from cold air intakes in general. I have a 2011 F150 Lariat (Raptor Engine). I bought a K&N Cold Air Intake... LOVE LOVE LOVE. I could instantly tell a difference. It freed up so much.

YES.. I went with Volant CAI with 100K filter for my 2011 Raptor SuperCrew... HIGHLY suggest if you are looking for CAI

Good review. I have a gen 2 raptor. Be interesting to see what your buddy does. Little advice, the 3.5 will never sound like your v8 so don’t brake the bank trying. I did a muffler delete and added the magna flow mini mag. Little lower note than stock. Also added the airaid cone filter to my stock intake box. Actually made a little difference and total cost was less than 300.00.

K&N tube diameter is smaller but gives around 8rwhp looking at a few dyno videos.

You should look in for a carven exhaust.. sounds better I have mine set between the rear right wheel and the back door ! Sounds aggressive

Great video! You my good man just need one more add on for the real power feeling. Get a pedal commander and you will feel the real power of that v8. The computer as it sits lags the throttle response. Good luck buddy

So, a CAI will work on an N/A car? I need to get one for my 5.4 expedition. I found this video relatable bc I got a Flowmaster super 44 series which slightly helps mpg, but I floor it sometimes because I'm immature 😂

Don't over oil your K&N or you'll run into MAF issues.

I have a gen 1 raptor as well. How do you get the triple marker lights to work on the third brake light?

They have a habit of leaking water in them and burning out frequently. If all three lights aren’t illuminated when the rest of the truck lights are on then they’re already bad unfortunately.

Much respect but I have a 2009 Toyota Tundra SR5 TRD Off Road, 5.7 LTR with Dynomax dual cat back and AIR-Raid Cold intake. Plenty of power, sounds and performs rugged. Also, Made in San Antonio Texas.
