I sharpen my skates twice a year, but I just got 2S skates with the carbon blades, so that might down to once a year

Definitely sharp so I can get across quickly. I've played with dull skates and which inhibits your movement. Great game Sam. Good luck in the finals!

Almost a perfect game Sam! Everyone was solid. Forward getting lots of shots on net and being in the right place and right time. Defence is probably the most improved: pushing their forwards to the outside along the boards and forcing them to take weak angle shots. They still need to stop those odd man rushes (ie 2 on 1) along with not letting anyone get inside the space between the two faceoff circles in the dzone. I love how more guys are taking slapshots too. Never a bad thing when you have the space, time and opportunity. And most of all; not letting a previous defeat intimidate you. Good luck on the next game!
@ThePuckStopsHere5 жыл бұрын
This is all so true and I was very happy with their performance this game and hope we can bring it into the next. We are playing a team that we lost to by one goal and then beat in a shutout so it should be a good finals!

I hate those shots when you don't expect them to get a good one off and then some how they just snipe you. But it is a good lesson for every goalie. Don't ever underestimate their shot even if they don't look like they are going to get a good one off.

I don’t know how that other goalie gets down so quick because he stands so tall. I stood up real straight like that when I first started playing and it kills your back, it’s like falling two feet onto cement on your knees, and if your back is straight like it should be your spine absorbs all the shock.
