And I'm not saying the friendzone is a bad place to be - I've had plenty of relationships that first started off as friends, and I have great friendships with women that started off romantic. Just agreeing with @Tripp Advice that a lot is left out of your control over text, whereas you have a much better handle on the situation when a woman is with you in person. People never read what you wrote. They read what they think you wrote, and it's all dependent upon their mood, what they're doing at the time, etc. etc. In person, you're able to manage a person's emotional (and physical) journey with you from start to finish. Going OLD SCHOOL on this one, you are! But it's what has to be done! I'm 47 years old and us older dudes used to say in our 20s/30s that "phone calls WERE ONLY for setting up dates, not for chatting." I've learned that the latter did not work and it's not because I can't talk , but it has to do with the old inadvertently seeming "needy" thing without even acting "needy." That being said, person looks a little younger than myself, but I need a brush up, because I thought I could get away with the texting in ways I would never phone, and it does not work! Nothing more than a "what address" or "I'm slightly late" to an actual meeting via text. Going back to the old school rules on text that I used on the phone indeed

I think texting was fine following its real purpose which was just to send messages. It was not until people started using it as a tool for conversation that got complicated. Man gives a rational meaning to words, including of course verbal interactions. Women tend to define the texting in an emotional way, they can't help doing so. My experience has always negative in this matter. During verbal conversations women are capable immediately of interpreting whatever you want to communicate to her. It's totally the opposite through texting. Let's go back to just sending plain messages.

So I told her we could text sometimes for these months but not everyday (cause she was continuously blowing up my phone). Did I handle it correctly? @@jatinrai3509 It's all about brainstorming all kinds of word connections with whatever she throws at you, but it's very important that you make her understand from the start that you're a playful writer. Because if you mess up there your witty comments won't land properly, especially through text where it's harder to pick up on sarcasm and such. Of course practice is key, it's a gradually developed skill. You don't need necessarily a girl to practice, you can also practice creative writing by yourself with a journal. That alone will make you a faster and smoother writer, also study humour and consume tons of comedy entertainment: sitcoms, stand-up, KZbin videos, movies etc. You will gradually absorbe proper comedic timing and form. Otherwise girls will pick up on that needy vibe and that's highly unattractive. 3) Find a creative outlet you're really passionate about, develop it to the best of your abilities and become skillful at it. I suggest music, girls tend to find musicians very attractive. But other skills can work as well, you need to find what works for you. 4) Read books costantly, become a well-rounded and informed person. Get interested in all sorts of topics, interested people become interesting people. 5) Develop your sense of humor, study comedy. As you develop yourself more and more girls will be into you, but you need to keep growing. 9) It's not even about the girls, it's about doing your best to have a good life. This is your only shot, why should you settle for mediocrity?
