I were about to order a kit from them for my EVGA 3080ti. I guess I was just saved from wasting 50€. Thanks!

Damn, just ordered 1.25mm pads from these folks because they're hard to find too

"Fehonda" on aliexpress sells non-standard thickness pads. I bought 2.25mm for my 7900xtx pulse

I used 2.25mm fehonda 12w pads on ftw3 3080, worked really well. I guess because they are quite soft.

That's why I never change thermal pads. They usually last forever if handled carefully. They "sweat" oil but that's normal, is not conductive. The only reason to change them is when they are completely dry (rarely happens at least in the weather where I live). The only time I had to replace them I couldn't find so I soaked in oil extracted from a car's ignition coil. Should have at least in theory have the same properties (thermal conductivity and electrical insulation)

I believe Arctic is very squishy than stock 3m pads, thermal grizzly, gelid etc.

What size of thermal pads does XFX use for their quick series of RX 7800XT for the memory chips?

Can I use thermal putty to be safe instead?
@seeking.eternity15 сағат бұрын
i believe so, but obviously, EXTREMELY MESSY, and EXTREMELY ANNOYING to clean up if you have to

@seeking.eternity Thanks 👍🏻

When putty is mentioned most people have K5 pro in mind and yes that one is garbage. Laird tputty 607 or from Alix Upsiren UTP-8 are some good ones.

Tony are there any "universal" thermal pads that you would recommend? I mean that are adjustable by rolling them down?
@northwestrepair19 сағат бұрын
link in discord under aliexpress sellers
@teddp12 сағат бұрын
Interesting I didn't know that you need to roll them thinner than you need and then let them expand on their own to the desired thickness.

Hi man, what software you use to see the performance of the graphic card?? I'm studying to be a PC technician

The following is directly copy/pasted from EVGA's web site (KZbin doesn't allow off site links anymore, or I'd post it): FTW: 3090/3090Ti - Cooler: Width: 6.5mm Length: 7.7mm Thickness: 2.75mm QTY: 1 Width: 14mm Length: 53mm Thickness: 2.25mm QTY: 2 Width: 14mm Length: 37.5mm Thickness: 2.25mm QTY: 1 Width: 12mm Length: 15mm Thickness: 2.25mm QTY: 1 Width: 5mm Length: 110mm Thickness: 2.5mm QTY: 1 Backplate: Width: 14mm Length: 10mm Thickness: 2mm QTY: 2 Width: 51mm Length: 12mm Thickness: 2mm QTY: 1 Width: 38mm Length: 12mm Thickness: 2mm QTY: 1 ENDPASTE So in fairness to Kritical, it looks like they used the information directly from EVGA. EVGA was the one that made the mistake. Note that the 2.0mm pads listed go on the BACKSIDE of the card, on the backplate side, not on the front. And no, I'm not saying that @northwestrepair was in error by using them on the front AT ALL; I'm saying that EVGA screwed up in listing those pads as 2.25mm thick instead of the needed 2.0mm. I trust @northwestrepair a lot more than EVGA as far as what pad thickness goes where. The point is that EVGA screwed up, not Kritical thermal pads.

I bought these, just not in the precut package. I thought performance was good, I lowered my memory temps on my 3080 30 degrees Celsius once I realized it was running at 109 degrees
