“The root cause of our suffering is our own thinking.” A good quote from the book. The workbook on amz called 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels goes great with this book as well. Mindfulness helps give the mind a needed break.

Interesting concept ! Happiness isn't something you chase by thinking amd doing, its a state of being at peace.

Advaita vedanta philosophy is the source of this teaching. Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi taught that ego colours each and every single thought.... ego(I) is the subject for predicate in every single thought of ours. So says thats not the right perception of the world around us. Says that mind activity itself is the source of our suffering from this selfish limited perspective of ego. So the solution lies in slowing this freewheel of continuous thoughts. the fewer our thoughts the more we are at quetitude and peace.. happiness wells from this peace of our being.. thoughtless mind is the ultimate goal of higher meditation. this thoughtless state of being is the pinnacle of Yoga i.e., Samadhi.. is the Union of of individual mind into the cosmic mind, Atman with the Brahman
