Dave, use the low range when cranking the landing gear on your trailers.. After there’s no more pressure on the landing gear, put it high range.. That will keep you from pulling a muscle in your arms, shoulders, or back.. Believe me a pulled muscle hurts like a mother🤬 (know this from experience).. Enjoying your videos. I’m a CFI driver too I been through Houston a lot lately cuz we just moved down there. Definitely crazy drivers all the way from Houston through Katy lol when I drive thru there or Dallas it’s always like okay time to really focus, it’s high intensity driving mainly because you never know what sudden decision people will make. The roads are fine there are a lot of lanes it’s the thick population and constant being alert for the decisions of others and driving defensively

4:40 as a Houstonian. I agree. I love Texas but majorly F U C K traffic. Like you said, it’s always clustered, people drive like ass, and if you see a Mercedes or BMW know for a fact you’ll get cut off or they’ll stop at the last minute to take a turn. Anyone with a lifted truck will most likely do the same but more aggressively

Do USA fifth wheels on trucks turn. In austraila we call them turn tables, because they spin. So when backing up to a trailer you need to check it is lined up with the pin.

Dave congratulations on 1 year complete. Question the tractor that your driving is supplied by CFI I noticed is Automatic. If a driver prefers to drive only automatic is the possible? or the company will make you drive a super 10, 13 or 18 speed. What if a driver finished a Truck Driving School and learned to drive Automatic only? How does this work. Let me know.
