I think eventually everyone has to decide for themselves if a game is worth playing, but every gacha has the same issue with (re)playable content be it genshin or alchemy stars or gray raven. There's enough possible solutions but no devteam wants to go that way apparently for example a randomized dungeon without staminacost with random rewards and as u progress it gets harder and when u lose u start at the beginning. Anyways I can't wait to play this game myself *hype*

Theres are features in PGR that doesnt require stamina but are locked until a higher player rank, i have played only for a month and i use stamina mostly for farming and story, game is also generous with stamina. But yeah check it out for yourself, i recommend at least unlocking most of the features. edit: also farming doesnt feel like a job bc you can auto them. daily quests literally takes 5mins of your time

Just look at the unofficial roadmap video of PGR to see what events there are and content like Babel that is replayable and keeps getting built on. PGR has a lot of replayability thanks to its Challenge section and future content that will join there. You just need to level up a good bit to get to that stage which all of us on Global version will get to before Alpha will even be released. Also bosses introduced in events have like 5 difficulty levels, I remember hardest being Overdrive or something of sort. Same with Pain Cage, the bosses don't just hit harder or have more HP/defense, they use full set of their skills at highest level. Or you can just do the typical 3-5 min daily run by autoing resource stages and call it a day if you don't feel like playing on that day or are busy with something else. Forgot there is also the Dorm which is important for farming for Coatings which is the term for Skins/Outfits.

@@lucio4040 It's because pgr gameplay is faster in general, quicker animations and bosses simply have smaller time frames before they attack. Everything is just faster compared to honkai where enemies could give you literal seconds of attack windup sometimes.

Personally I enjoy watching your gameplay over certain no dmg boss fights, although as cool and skilled they are, watching someone have to actually play and learn how to fight bosses really is interesting cuz I already know I'm not gonna be that good at global launch especially with this games mechanics being something new to me

I really like the fact its farming isn't time consuming i hate farming. i want a game and not a job. i couldn't wait till global release so i downloaded JP version to see if it is worth it. i played the game for few hours, cleared chapter1 and few of Ch2 and i stopped so that i don't spoil anything also skipped story for same reason. I really enjoyed the gameplay despite not knowing what ability is doing exactly but still saw how much fun it will be when it is out in global. last thing i tried was i put all stamina into an ExP stage and i thought i will beat 1 wave 1 time and then i got 10x time rewards but i found my self fighting 10x nirmal waves gave me a hard time with my not much leveled team but this what made me like gameplay more. Edit:in summary totally worth playing.

PGR is still good as side game to scratch that itch of playing a fast paced combat if you dont have time to invest much for a new game. I recommend reaching at least player rank 60 bc one rlly fun mode unlocks, NO stamina required. You got to play characters you dont own with fixed builds, and the stages are very hard. Tbh im still overwhelmed by a lot of features in the game and didnt bother to understand them since global is coming.

With time, cogs (gold) becomes an issue. Basically build 3 up at the same time as ur main team then one at a time after that

i do think like other people maybe a dungeon would be cool or something like a special mini game challenge or maybe actual boss raid instead of trial boss which are fun to fight tbh since you could fight high level boss for free but stuff like pvp is bad and impossible in this game as it will only hurt the game

Played the CN version to lvl80 and got S Lucia Free 2 Play. It's a pretty cool game but gets boring and repetitive quickly. I think that's the problem with most instance based games, hence why I prefer Open World

Just leaving a comment as someone who finds many games repetitive. PGR isn't one of them due to high difficulty. At max level you will literally have to make sure you don't get twice to kill bosses on hardest difficulty. Also you get an event each month, that comes with a side story of few stages, quick resource stages and boss battle stage. Genshin Impact is far more repetitive than PGR and we didn't expect that to happen to an open world Gacha game.

Pick anyone you like. If you wanna go with the meta, pick Kamui.

Kamui is recommended because he is a staple Dark team character and scales better than Karenina for example. Liv if you are new to combat games and want an easy mode, she heals very well while doing decent damage for her role. Karenina will be your main damage dealer for Fire teams, but for that she also needs Nanami as Nanami reduces Fire resistance. Then there is Lee, only considered irrelevant in terms of META (which doesn't mean shit in such a balanced skill based game) because Alpha is the best Physical damage dealer and is the first one to come out after launch. Nanami on her own ends up being the real "waifu choice" as she brings nothing else unless you got Karenina.

You can still play Punishing Gray Raven Global by downloading the APK via TapTap or QooApp. I play Honkai Impact 3rd NA Server even though SEA is available. 8 just use QooApp/TapTap

This game has better pity than honkai. In honkai it takes 300 to get the character pity while in pgr its only 60
