I'm so happy to live in Dublin. Here most of the locals look at you and say hi when they meet you on the street. It is like the small town I come from in Sardinia (Italy)

But you`re a beautiful young girl. If I, as a guy, would ask a girl "would you be my stranger of the day?" I would either get arrested, slapped by her or punched by her boyfriend.
@lili2tango6 жыл бұрын
hah! no! Well first dont say for theday right; she say few minutes! haha good try! haha! And then it depends how you approach someone, and where and who! right?! Yeaaah! also i guess if you look that someone that was prepared to meet this nice person your talking too (kina clean right; also maybe a little dressed up, not too much, but anough so we feel your are not wishing to begg 25 cents) hii

Unfortunately - the sad truth is - approaching strangers for the purpose of conversation, is socially unacceptable or awkward at best - especially in my case when they see a middle aged man with zero financial status poorly dressed and dependant on public transportation... Trust me, people do not respond in a manner that would be conducive to meaningful conversation when someone with an unfavorable appearance walks up to them. As a society, we are extremely judgemental, and through our prejudice we form a preconceived idea of a stranger's intentions based on their appearance when approached. As well meaning and heartfelt as this young lady's message may be - for someone in my situation, I do not reccomend it - not only will you face possible rejection, you may also find yourself in a potentially volatile situation. When I'm out in public, I keep my eyes to the ground, and I mind my own business. Believe me, it's much safer that way.

Thanks Aliya! Even after studying pshychologie & human geographie it's still some questions unsolved! I'm also working on that! From Quebec it"s a little easyer as it's a smaller French speaking community (easier to trace plps), and we are not as much from a background where peoples moved from there country (usualy filled with some trauma, lets face it). But partly still the individualism is still so strong that i am usualy putting all but all my energy on living abroad! I know most country are kinda loosing that "exchanging" habits, even villages. But there is still a lot better places, and effort that are more consistant in many places abroad! Thanks again!
