The reason that no one should pray to Mary is because she is asleep (dead) . And if you understood scriptures you would know that no one has risen from the dead apart from Jesus CHRIST. How do we pray to God through the Holy Spirit. Who gives the Holy Spirit Jesus Christ He breathed the Holy Spirit onto his disciples. And through baptism in Jesus Christ we through death of the flesh in this world we receive the Holy Spirit…

Hey Matt, God Bless ... Just to clarify a little bit about Mary: In John 2:1-12 we see Jesus' first public miracle at the Wedding at Cana in Galilee. "And they ran out of wine, since the wine provided for the feast had all been used, and the mother of Jesus said to him, 'They have no wine.' Jesus said, 'Woman, what do you want from me? My hour has not come yet.' As we can continue reading, he converted the water into wine, which became His first miracle. But note how He asks His mother, 'What do you want from me? She mentioned there was no wine, implying for Him to please provide more wine for the guests. He makes it a point to tell her 'My hour has not come yet' ..... It wasn't His time to perform miracles yet, but she asked Him and because of the love He has for her, He did it. If we pray the Hail Mary, asking for Mary's intercession to Jesus, the result in our lives will be similar to the result of the passage above... (our petition will be answered) If your mom asks you to do something good, will it not move your heart even a little to do it, at least out of the love you have for her? P.S. we know that Mary isn't God. There is only one true God, which is The Father, Son & Holy Spirit, therefore praying the Hail Mary doesn't go against any of the 10 commandments. Blessings.
@anuiype4 жыл бұрын
What makes you say praying the Hail Mary does not break the commandment of the Lord God. You break the very first commandment given by the Lord. Luke 11:27-28 As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.” He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it." Praying and seeking the dead are forbidden by the Lord God though you speak to Mary or the saints or anyone who is dead is still forbidden for the word of Lord is righteous and just.

@@elahfinau2139 Just to clarify, I didn't state that the Bible specifically tells us to pray the Hail Mary. HOWEVER, parts of the Hail Mary are taken directly from the Bible more specifically, from words said to Mary. Luke 1:26- "In the sixth month, the Ángel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth. He was sent to a young virgin who was betrothed to a man named Joseph, the family of David; and the Virgin's name was Mary. The angel came to her and said "Rejoice, full of grace, the Lord is with you." Then we see in Luke 1:41- "When Elizabeth heard Mary's greeting, the baby leapt in her womb. Elizabeth was filled with Holy Spirit, and giving a loud cry, said, "You are most blessed among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb!" In the Hail Mary it goes "Hail Mary FULL OF GRACE, THE LORD IS WITH THEE, BLESSED ARE THOU AMONG WOMEN AND BLESSED IS THE FRUIT OF THY WOMB, JESUS. We are repeating the words that the Ángel Gabriel, sent from God, said to her and the words that Elizabeth said to her, while filled with the Holy Spirit. In saying the second part, Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. We're asking her to ask her to Son, The Most High, to have Mercy on us. Blessings

The forces of darkness want you to lose your soul, the very one Jesus died to save , therefore Satan and all demon's messages will oppose God's message. She is certainly Blessed. But she is also dead. We are told in MANY scruptures not to talk to the dead. In 1 Samuel 1-25 there's a perfect example of a medium summoning Samuel who obvioisly was alive in heaven. Saul was killed the next day. If you have the Holy Spirit you have God inside of you. Jesus litterally said pray like this and gave us the Lord's prayer. Why would we ignore his command and invent an idea that's not scriptural to follow a man made tradition that clearly makes Mary an idol a deity and is talking with a dead person? These are not small sins my brother.

To me I like to pray to God like I’m talking to a friend. I don’t follow a certain method I just pray and unleash how I feel and ask for God to show me the way. I think it’s important to form a personal relationship with God. By repeating the same prayer over and over I don’t feel like I’m accomplishing that. I feel more connected when I let my guard down. Sometimes, when it becomes difficult to pray is also good to ask the lord to guide you in prayer through the Holy Spirit. Also lengthy prayers without feeling it are not meaningful you can pray for five minutes in sincerity and humbleness and get more out of it then praying for an hour and not being directed. Also, for those that have a difficult time praying you can also write it down.

I just found you and was completely taken until I saw this. I understand if you see yourself as Christian instead of catholic but you know better than to assume that we see Mary as an idol. We just love Mary and pray for intercession, as mother Teresa said “never fear loving mother Mary because at the end of the day you’ll never love her more than her son did” . You started with this idea it’s hard to talk to god sometimes, that’s why we have this types of prayer, it helps us when we don’t know what to say. Second just because god knows what’s on your heart that doesn’t mean you can’t talk to him, I’m sure he’d much rather hear our every thought in prayer than have us not talk to him at all. It’s hard to say your teaching people to pray when you tell some that their way of prayer is wrong and goes against the Ten Commandments. This is why I find other denominations hard to follow, we as Catholics don’t focus on tearing down others ways of worship yet we are constantly attack and I have even been told I will go to hell just for the way I pray. I’m sorry but I don’t think I can continue following you after the things you said here, maybe this is why people feel so hesitant to accept God . People are afraid that if they follow they way they chose others will not accept that and choose to tear them down for and quite frankly I don’t see that as very Christian. I’m not trying to bash you or anything I just want to understand what you gain from telling other people that the catholic faith is wrong just because we pray to mother Mary

Read the Bible When u pray to anyone other than the Lord God you are dishonoring the very first commandment of God. And talking / praying/ worshipping the dead (though Mary or saints or anyone one) is forbidden by God Almighty. Bible clearly states that the Lord hates such practices. People Don't read the Holy word, that is what makes them ignorant and follow teaching which are not mentioned in the bible.

Anu Iype you just don’t understand catholic philosophy. We can go back and forth about verses and right or wrong but at the end of the day nothing done for the lord is ever in vain and I believe that even misguided faith is still faith so if I am wrong like you say I believe that my lord will focus on my intentions and be loving and forgiving

@@chrishernandez9277 It's not about the Catholic or Christian or Any other Philosophy nor do I show any interest in knowing them. It is all and only about his holy word (Bible) that you and others are contradicting for making your own beliefs and non beliefs. You speak in your ignorance because you don't know what the word speaks, nor did you ever try to find out. If you think in the end faith is all that matters and misguided faith is still faith there won't be a judgement day because even the pagans have Greater Faith though their faith is misguided . One thing I want to tell you dear, you cannot have a misguided faith if you are well about the scriptures. Once you know the truth it will set you free. The Lord says when you search for me you will find me.

Anu Iype I don’t understand the rude nature or hostility. But there are plenty of verses that talk about only needing faith in the lord and asking for forgiveness. I don’t want to argue bc I don’t believe we argue people into heaven we love them into heaven. I worship different from you and that’s okay, we have different views and different interpretations of scripture. Though you believe me to be misguided I know what’s in my heart and god does as well. I personally have a love for scripture and do believe it’s important but at the same time the way we worship matters too. It’s not just the Bible we listen to, we have a living breathing god who loves us and we follow the saints bc they show us what it’s like to live as close to god as possible: we may not be able to live up to what Jesus was but we can see through the saints miracles and oneness with god is possible for even regular humans. It’s a beautiful gift from god to have the saints

Purgatory is not in the Bible and it’s completely unbiblical too and also I’m not going to lie but them Roman Catholics saying that The Hail Mary Prayer is biblical but in reality it’s actually not because they literally use the Gospel of Luke to justify this and to interpreted it and all they are literally saying is this. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Plus they literally keep repeating the same thing over and over again and when they do that it’s nothing but vain repetition and they do the vain repetition like The Pagans that’s literally what they keep repeating the same thing over and again they also sound like a robot for real. But look at what the Bible says in the gospel of Luke KJV Luke 1:28-3128 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. This absolutely has nothing to do with her being the mother of God whatsoever because all she ever was is the mother of Jesus and the wife of Joseph that’s literally it. But Roman Catholics however literally exalted Mary as a co mediator while however in the The Bible it teaches this in 1 Timothy 2:5 KJV 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

The Hail Mary is a scriptural prayer. You say "I'm not going to pray to a dead person" which illustrates you have no idea about where we go when we die. Ever heard of heaven ? well Mary is there. The first part of the Hail Mary is in Sacred Scripture itself "Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with you" Luke 1 :28 - 41" . "Blessed are you amongst women and blessed is the fruit of your womb". Maybe if you paid more attention when you were instructed by the priest you would know the Catholic faith more that you left and wouldn't have been swept up into the heresies of Protestants.

You've making wonderful videos with great content and inspiration. I admire your Faith and bless God everyday for your life. You should have known earlier that this kind of video will offend majority of your followers who are also Catholics. Like you said your are not a Catholic, so your understanding of the Catholic faith is very myopic. Yes more than 1.2billion Catholics say the Hail Mary everyday! At first you have to come to terms with the Catholic understanding of the Communion of Saints. In Mark 12:24-27 , Jesus talks about the resurrection and proclaims that God is a God of the living, not of the dead and that Abraham, Isaac and Jacob still live. This Scripture verse reinforces that those who die in faith are not dead. If they are not dead, then they are part of the kingdom of heaven, which is both in heaven and on earth. And so it follows that if we are connected, we can ask for the prayers of those in heaven who are part of God’s kingdom. People questioning the idea of praying to a saint perceive that those who are dead in Christ are disconnected from those on earth, so to pray to someone who is dead seems like a useless proposition. Non-Catholics are quick to pray for one another, but to pray for the dead or ask the intercession of those who are dead is not only foreign, it’s a bit suspect. So in order to explain why we pray to Mary and the saints, you need to understand that there is a connection between the Body of Christ that is already in heaven and those who are still on earth. Though a person is no longer living on earth, that does not mean they are not living. Catholics understand that we have a relationship with those who are living in heaven, and that during the Mass heaven and earth connect. Revelation 8:3-4: And another angel came and stood at the altar with a golden censer; and he was given much incense to mingle with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar before the throne; and the smoke of the incense rose with the prayers of the saints from the hand of the angel before God. Of course for those in heaven there is no need for prayers, so the prayers of the saints are for those on earth. If saints are praying for us, why not implore them with something specific? That is how we on earth ask each other. If the Body of Christ is not separated, then it would be wrong to say we can’t ask members of the Body of Christ in heaven to pray for us, because that would be a denial of the unity of Christ.
@johnboscochigbo13485 жыл бұрын
