Interesting. Customer service is always number 1. I ran multiple units as a supervisor/owner and its not unheard of to have 10k tkts a week. 1 tkt could equal 1 item or 50 items.

I currently work as a commercial pest control technician and I’m trying to make a career switch since I’m only 20 years old. As a technician we’re expected to manage about 140-160 services per month at the highest quality we can offer. Hopefully that experience will transfer well

It really depends where you are. If you don't have any bachelor's degree you will get the job, but basically no opportunities to advance, also job security is low (think about it. Why in a time of employee recruitment would an insurance company take someone hopping career, vs. a well-rounded college student who shows the same dedication as you? It's going to be very difficult trying to BS your way through that candidate)

Trust this. I never seen the inside of any college. Ever. Stepped into adjusting flood claims 18 years ago, at 40 years old, and never looked back. Fifty-six Hurricanes/Floods later and still hanging in there. There are great companies out there, that have great training. You can make 6 figures in this business as long as you're willing to sacrifice pretty much everything in your life. Just came off 6 months of Hurricane Ian, 16-22 hours a day. You can do it. Just know the washout is extensive for a reason. You have to be 100% dedicated, have a heart for those who have lost, and be able to take an ass chewing, by the policy holder, for the dumbest of things. Good luck on your journey.

I’m considering getting my license as an adjuster, but I’m unable to travel. I serve a ministry (God) 5 days a week. No I don’t miss a day, I know that sounds extreme and I’m not asking for opinions. Is there a way that I can still do something like this and still make a decent amount of money within my immediate living area?

Lol, right?! State Farm had us just staple the polaroids to a sheet and then label them with a pen. Some guys got fancy and shot with a SLR camera and had prints made at the photomat. Geez, we've come a long way, huh? I didn't even have my own cell phone back then.

I think specializing in condos is always a good way to go. And in Florida if you're bilingual even better.

Not entirely buying it. Fully believe you can write onsite and get initial payment out onsite. However, there is no way that you don’t get supplement requests at some point. Not sure if you consider a claim that a supplement is being requested on as closed or not. Overall though very interesting video!

@@Yathar Yes, I did and I know several others who have too. IA Path has strong participation in its forum, which is great for support. But one of the biggest benefits was Chris' partnership with big appraisal co's. They waive the 3-5yr requirement for IA Path students

Well, if you're really interested and ready to be all-in.. get your home state or DHS license. While you're doing that, start learning Xactimate and Symbility and get hands on training at an outfit like www.adjustertv.com/vas or www.mocatadjusters.com/

If you do cat then you work cat season, which is usually March/April through October. You can take all the days off you want during the offseason. I can't speak for other adjusters, but when I do cat I work 7 days a week. Why wouldn't I?

Good information but all of it’s not 100% reality. “Out on Cat duty for 6 months”, variables have changed and most cats don’t last 1 month.

Most cats have always lasted no more than a few weeks. But adjusters can be asked to stay and keep handling claims for much longer after most have left.

Adjuster TV agreed, but do we want them? It’s not like in the past where “clean-up” was coveted. The carriers pay so little on a re-inspect that the initial Aduster makes out on doing a sub-par job. Maybe one day this will change.

Sorry, as an adjuster for the last 5+ years this video is full of BS. You cannot arrive on sight and close a claim within an hour. Its literally impossible. Dunno why you are selling this as fact.

Sorry you feel that way. I ran claims for 20 years and closing hail claims in an hour was mandatory for me. The adjusters that I knew who couldn't do it did two things: 1. they spent too much time scoping and making decisions about what to pay for 2. they couldn't type fast It's not hard to do, it just takes work and a dedication to finding the most efficient ways to do everything in their claims workflow. Nothing is impossible, my friend.

@@AdjusterTV I get that you have 20 years experience. Cat is what people that are new want to be. Yet the same insurance companies will keep them in a war room give them 1 claim a week!! And still can’t close a claim right!! Same with daily claims people…. Came in on cat… I say again……cat…. And can’t close a simple roof claim on a mobile home… or a simple water claim. Then when you ask for revisions they say I don’t have time for that you do it.
