7:43 - So, basically, typhons are likely made of dark matter, which can mold into any shape. The size has to be the same because of the conservation of matter. Dark matter can (theoretically) only be shaped by thoughts, which is why the typhons go for brains and ultimately, consciousness and thoughts!

If humans all used the neuro, there's really two possibilities; we slaughter one another or we become a pseudo hivemind of sorts. Even if it was the first, after some time, I believe it'd morph into the latter. I haven't played the game yet but if it can be copied and produced in scale, we could very well be unified in some dystopia, indoctrinated super soldier race. Either each person being a force to be reckon with, or having a class based system, soldiers, workers, rulers, etc. This could all be easily done via vat grown humans, no actual starting life, grown and raised to *be* the neuro copy vector. Mass produced in batches.

What I hate is that this game steals its name from a very good novel by Michael Crichton. The novel Prey has to do with experimental nanotech getting out of control in a way that forms its own ecosystem using bacteria and eventually species such as cave worms in order to move around. The apex predators of this universe were these whirlwind things that resembled a nightmare I had a very long time ago when I was a child. But what was worse was that this ecosystem, when it couldn't get to the humans in the nearby isolated lab, made something resembling the body snatchers. Crichton based this facet of the creatures off the duel nature of cholera bacteria, which could choose how lethal they wanted to be based on how hard it was for them to spread. Cholera has a built in regulator that allows it to turn non lethal if it can't spread at a certain rate. In this case however, the nanite/bacteria combo (kinda like lichen being a mix of plants and fungi) basically became more intelligent in order to spread. That novel is a fantastic case of "you wouldn't survive." It was only because one of the scientists was new and thus hadn't had complacency set in, that the escape was able to be stopped.

The biggest problem is, you'd need something like saturation or carpet bombing. Even if the military could crush the Typhon, if they can't hunt down every last mimic, the typhon could keep spreading, and keep trying until they won. Likely, once you started seeing later forms like weavers and phantoms, it's already too late. The mimics would have already spread too far, infiltrated too much, and killed too many.

Reason been why the Used the name Prey (Aside from Marketing Yeah I get lots of people love the Original as I do as well.) But Theoretically Speaking The original Prey could still exist within it's Universe as another timeline (Depends really) as for Dishonored the Typhon already exist alongside it (Death of The Outsider Dlc) meaning the Typhon could be like the Doom Demons breaching into other Universes for their own purpose (forgot which Wolfenstein had literal Doom Demons but that is Apart of their Lore lmao) So Honestly Doom Demons Vs The Typhon From Prey 2017. Just food for thought lol

God I really want 2, but fucking Red Fall had to go and ruin shit. It's ok Arcane just take your time with 2.... and... DON'T RUSH IT. That was one hell of a cliffhanger at the end and It could go many ways, possibly a precursor to the OG namesake, or more delving into the typhons backstory as Moonbreaker cant be the true origin imo.

This game requires you to be very resource observant. Otherwise, you'll be facing the Nightmare with only 3 shotgun shells, no recycling charges, 15 pistol bullets, and a whole lot of prayer to whatever god you worship to make up for.

Correction: Nightmare is more of an immune system agent. It only appears and hunts you in the game when you install typhons' neuromods. Nightmare is an allergic reaction of coral to unknown entity trying to connect to it
