I pleaded and bargained. I go back and forth on whether I regret it. Both my dad and my therapist told me not to feel guilty about sharing my emotions. One of the big problems in the relationship was lack of emotional vulnerability on my end. When I moved out of our apartment, I had reeled in my emotional panic started to build up my confidence again. But she will remember the FIRM stance I took on believing in our relationship, if and when she realizes the grass isn’t greener. Googled the statistics on how many exes return and it’s ONLY a little higher than 40% for both genders. Female exes return a little more than male ones. Statistics were based on the dumpers return. I totally agree that you should reach out after no contact, which is only to stabilise you (not to punish the ex) and at least check if it is really over. You can start smoothly a conversation and met up, and than you will feel if it is over or not. Then you can let go in peace if it is finally over.

I have to respectfully disagree about you saying that someone doesn’t breakup because of having to work on themselves . I broke up with a girl because she was demanding too much of my time. I tried to set boundaries and talk to her about it but it seemed to only get worse. I kept trying to make it work with her for about a year, but I started to resent her and had to end it. I really loved that girl, but I wasn’t ok with my personal goals and professional goals being belittled for her needs. Ok. I want him because I like him and what we had when it started. It started good but ended too fast because of assumed expectations and communication problems. He took my enthusiasm as assuming we were a couple, so he ran away and I freaked out because I wanted to keep what we were having in a let it flow way and I chased and confronted him. So we broke up 2 times. The 3rd we got together he was emotionally out. I made a lot of mistakes!! I chased, I told him I was into him, I was too confrontational. The guy ran away. He started dating, he's putting himself out there, meeting girls. Now I miss him and the good days. But I was too needy and psychotic. I don't think he'll ever see me as high value. And I don't have a social life. I'm at that age when making friends and meeting like minded people is a fantasy. How could I make him FOMO?

How will they believe I'm the greater prize if we're no longer speaking? After 7yrs of being inseparable, she cheated on me and a month later we still tried to work it out, made all these progressive plans to move, start over etc and one day I call her and she dsnt answer. Not sure if the dollar to dollar exchange was a good example. It should be "I have this unique item that you really want and you have this unique item that I really want." my ex was so ice cold.surely a narc.sometimes my life feels so meaningless.traumabonding, ghosting, etc etc etc.i didnt want to live anymore but she didnt care.she pushed me emotionally and psychologically in hell.i never had this.she was so manipulative.my heart and brain are so damaged.my brain knows that she is not good for me but my heart wants her.my life is a mess right now

My ex contacted me 2 and 1/2 weeks during no contact. She said that I've been on her mind lately and that she hopes I'm doing well. I waited a day and a half and texted her back saying thank you. I'm doing good and I hope you are too. She said she's doing well and that she's sorry for ending it the way she did and that she just had to get her head straight and let go of me completely for a little bit. She wants to be friends now. What should I do?

So I have very high value to offer and it’s not expensive for a person who is mature and rich emotionally. Unfortunately avoidant scared hurt men feel like it’s cutting off their arms and legs to get a great amazing loving relationship. Yeah so no I wouldn’t do that either for love or a cup of coffee. My ex is dealing with depression and drinking . Broke it off to fix herself . Wouldn’t tell me what she was feeling or thinking . Still drinking , in therapy . This happened Dec 15, she’s contacted me Dec 27 & Jan 3 . I begged her for a bit now I’m going no contact and moving on and upward .
