Back in the 1990s/2000, the import guys put racing steering wheels on their cars that had a pin lock. You could take off the steering wheel so no one could steer the car. Air bags and electronics prevent that now. But it was a cool way to stop a low-key car jacker.

for Push to start cars, it takes them less than a minute using a relay, so use a faraday bag for your keys, but if they cant get signal, they will just reprogram it on the spot, so just cut out the obd and either relocate it, or keep it out and only rewire when smog time comes around

You can't cut out the obd connector! It talks directly to the security gateway module on Chryslers. The car won't start. Just pull the main ignition 1 fuse under the hood! They can't duplicate keys that way!

​@@jayh9635 I didn't think they changed any protocols on OBD2 for specific vehicles. I've removed OBD ports from a few 2020+ chargers and even my wife's fathers 2022 challenger hellcat. It's just a plastic housing, so personally, I've never seen it be different in 1996 and up cars. Just pulling an ignition fuse may stop the car from being stolen at that moment, which is still a good idea, but the thieves will still make a key using the OBD port before they realize that the car won't start.

@@SemperMortem there have been several software updates with Chrysler WiTech over the past year to help remedy that issue. If you pull the Ign #1 fuse it kills power to the obd connector and the PCM making it impossible to clone keys via a flipper or other cloning devices.
