That Aveeno calm and restore gel cream is hands down my miracle moisturizer 🙌 and it's one of the few drugstore products I've found that has centella asiatica in it as well! I have combination skin with a very dry u zone and "normal" to slightly oily T zone, and struggle a lot with redness and irritation. The moisturizing ingredients have done their job well to lock in hydration from my other products, and the Centella and oat ingredients have done wonders to soothe irritation and relieve redness.

Yes! I had really oily skin and tried using lightweight moisturizers all the time. Started using the Cerave Moisturizing Cream at night, and niacinamide more and now my skin is so much better. Sometimes you gotta do the opposite of what seems right to get good results!

yall...lemme tell you how Hyram saved my skin. So a couple years ago I started to get servre acne and as time went on it got worse. I would go out to the shops and keep changing my skin care routine and the worst part is I used St. Ives....ALOT. So last year I decided to go to the doctors and see what could help, I was issued also having fungal acne...So my doc recommended nizoral (nizoral is a dandruff shampoo treatment) I would leave it on my face for a minute and after my skin would be burnt. So I got off nizoral and started using cetaphil gentle skin cleanser, and the holy grail Epiduo gel my face is COMPLETLEY flawless and Im so happy. It has been a mentally draining journey but I never gave up. (so bad I was gonna go on Accutane) if you see this just know to never give up and keep going hun xx and for u Hyram I LOVE YOU SM AND THANK U

For those who hates the feeling of thick moisturiser but wants the hydration it gives, try using 2 drops of face oil and then a light moisturiser. The products i use are the ordinary squalane oil and avene hydrating cream. This combo is my current favourite

I tried out the moisturizer Hyram came out with and gurrrl…I have very dry & oily skin (very combo skin lol and I’m eczema proned) and at the end of the day, my skin did not feel dehydrated, it actually felt supple and moisturized. It’s a product I would actually repurchase so yes highly recommend (and I’ve tried a ton of moisturizers)

Previously I used serums from Me+ Acacia collagen booster. Right now I'm using Esfolio honey ampoule Jelly. Really everything that focuses on deep hydration works. The moisturizer I use is cicaplast by La Roche-Posay. And on top of that I put "B" oil and petroleum Jelly. When I say that I have dry skin I really mean it 😅😂 btw I would suggest looking into brands recommended by derm doctors. Those are typically less likely to cause irritation.

I've actually been using the Isntree green tea emulsion after watching your video on the brand, and holy shit am I loving it so far. It legit sinks into my skin so quickly and pairs nicely with the Supergoop unseen sunscreen that I currently have. My skin is actually not staying oily for once in my life.

He's absolutely right. As a teenager, I wasn't as educated about skincare just like all of you 😝 so I used a line marketed as ' for combination skin'. The cleanser was too stripping (SLS second ingredient, now that I can read INCI lists) and the moisturizer was never moisturizing enough, always left dry patches. Later, when I saw a dermatologist, he prescribed a very gentle cleanser (by Cetaphil) and a rich enough moisturizer.

Another reason: you're sleeping on the wrong pillowcase! I noticed that cotton pillow cases soak up so much product off of my face at night and i'm a belly/side sleeper so everytime i would wake up, my face would be super dry. But since i've been sleeping on a silk pillow case i don't tend to experience those moments very often anymore. Just on days when i turn a lot and sleep wild lol

Yes! Once I switched to satin pillowcases my skin was noticeably maintaining product better. Satin cases are much gentler on your hair too (less breakage & frizz, etc) Satin helped me almost as much as Hyram does when he shoulder shimmies into frame "Every single week" with the tea on skin care, lol.

I highly recommend the Pond’s Crema S Moisturizing cream for people with dry/dehydrated skin! I went on vacation to Mexico and left my Laneige Water Bank Cream at home. I ended up buying the Pond’s cream at a local Walmart and its the best moisturizer I’ve ever used. I’ve been using this for 7 months. I wake up & my skin actually looks hydrated. Highly recommend!

Gel moisturizers are also incredibly beneficial to those with Rosacea. Rosacea stricken areas like the cheeks can’t tolerate occlusive heavier moisturizers, they need something instantly hydrating. Speaking from personal experience here.

I have: 1. MCAS-level sensitive skin, so many ingredients (natural or synthetic, I can't even figure it out at this point), give me watery eyes or neurological side. Fragrance is the worst offender. Effects like a numb tongue, headaches, eye muscle problems happen. 2. Most of the moisturizers I use just sit on top of my skin. They will sit< there all day, all night, never absorbing. The rest of the skin on my body absorbs them fine, just not my face. 3. Due to them sitting on my skin forever, it feels like it gets sweaty, hot, excessively greasy and itchy like a fungal infection is starting underneath and my skin turns ORANGE. It looks like rosacea except ORANGE like when people eat too many carrots. My skin never burns, tingles, or turns red like an allergic reaction. It just produces enough oil to start a war over. The only relief I feel is using a gentle cleanser or a clay/sulfur mask. I feel so much relief with that I could walk around with it on for 24 hours. When I strip my skin intentionally dry to the point of peeling, I also feel so much relief, but I know this is bad for the skin. I am afraid to try any actives without a proper moisturizer. I'm also afraid leaving my skin unmoisturized dry and tight is going to lead to problems, but I can't get any relief. Has anyone heard of this?

I have dry skin but I love using gel and watery moisturiser because I can't with thick creams, my skin as well, I need light-weight. Although my skin is dry, it can't take thik, rich creams targeted for dry skin, it actually breaks me out. So, I don't know... I guess, I'll keep using gel ones, although it might not work. Still better than a heavy, greasy and sticky, thick feeling on my face that doesn't let my skin breathe and breaks me out... I'm using the avene hydrance aqua gel moisturiser, it doesnt break me out but doesn't seem to do much. Sticking wiht this for now, but am lookgin for a new good one...

I don't use a moisturizer during the day, I find just applying my sunscreen works just fine, and at night lightly applying a rich cream moisturizer before bed readies my skin for the next day. I have extremely oily skin, and it's not so bad when I do it this way

It’s totally fine to just use a sunscreen in the day and moisturize at night. Almost all sunscreens have some occlusive ingredients to keep moisture in. My skin has been extremely sensitive due to a damaged moisture barrier, so that’s all I’m doing currently.

My skin is very happy with Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Jelly (the clear stuff) and DDM Gel (the yellow stuff but not the lotion--the gel is oil free but has a lotion texture). Also the Clinique Moisture Surge 72 hour gel cream. So silky and hydrating! So I just "listen" to my skin to pick the moisturizer it's in the mood for that day. The Selfless by Hyram moisturizer is good too, and the key is to give it time to sink in before you decide it's sticky. It's not after absorption. The thing that ruins it for me is putting on sunscreen...bleh....my skin does NOT like...and now I'm trying to do it every day instead of just planned outdoors days. Please Hyram, save me from sunscreen Hell. When it comes to arms/legs/hands/feet, I love a rich cream--Nivea Creme or Vanicream cream. Never for the face though.

The skinfix cream is aaaaamazing. I love it. It saves my super dry skin in winter. It’s a bit pricey, though, but everything else I use is pretty low cost. So it evens out in my mind. My favorite gel cream is the cosrx snail cream. It’s good stuff and affordable.

For anyone that’s reading this, PLEASE help. I’m 26 & honestly my skin isn’t look too great at all, looks like shit & I try so hard to take care of it. I bought some stuff recommended by Hyram in some videos, But idk if it’s irritating my skin or what not, but my skin looks like, 1) minor redness like miniature dots that make it looks irritated, dark areas around random part of my skin, collagen loss , like idk what to do I don’t even know where to look for a good dermatologist but I just want to look my age, even though I LOOK young, my actual skin just looks like garbage. Products I’m using Skin fix barrier triple lipid peptide cream (feel like it’s doing more harm than good) but idk. La Toche Posay purifying foam cleanser , feels like it doesn’t help or is causing redness. Lastly… Paulas choice exfoliate, I’m just gonna stop using this at this point I highly doubt it’s doing any good probably doing more harm… HELP :)))!!

Yeah I mix moisturizers because my face can be dry one day, then normal then oily then dry and it usually changes because of hormone treatment I do because of PCOS, so I mix a gel moisturizer with a cream and it works perfectly, if my face is drier I'll use more of the cream, if it's oilier then I'll use more of the gel, I can change the formula to whatever I need and it works perfectly
