Took the Kuda out for the first time fishing on a river with class1 rapids. It was outstanding overall. Shallow draft, the other kayak and canoe in our group got hung up but not the Kuda. It was extremely quiet hitting rocks, it paddled/tracked well above expectations with a high angle paddle stroke, which I think is critical with this kayak. Extremely stable. The Kuda spins into eddies nicely and is super light to get on and off and move around the water. Can’t wait to take it out again. Thank you!

I think that you hit all the advantages of inflatable kayaks; stealth, stability and shallow draft. Nice! Glad you’re enjoying it!

This is great to see what can be done to a Kuda. I love my Kuda, but I'm more of a minimalist when it comes to fishing. Nothing against your setup as I can see come really great rigging ideas, but that's way too much "stuff" for me LOL. My Kuda is a throw and go...LOVE IT. Drag strap great idea!! Thanks for the video!!

Hey Jeff nice set up. I am looking to get one of this. Without the toquedo setup low budget.

You get what you pay for. The Kuda is a great option. For a more durable option, look at the Innovative Sportsman inflatable kayaks.

Well you convinced me to give the kuda a try. Should be here this week. NRS has them on sale for $740 at the moment so that helped too. Going to take a while to get her rigged up but am looking forward to it. Thank you for all the helpful videos Jeff!

I really like the open deck space these have. Ideal for carrying and maneuvering a muskie net. Looks like it's really easy to get in and out of too.

Just WOW!! You've got that yak loaded with all kinds of goodies. I just received my first ever yak today. I decided on the Pike 126. The dealer helped me fit it almost identical to the Pro version. I'm already thinking of adding more stuff. So that HH-66 adhesive works well on PVC huh?
@TheLittleStuff6 ай бұрын
HH-66 is great for attaching big pads. I like AquaSeal for patching holes.

That went over well in the kayak purchase video, so I thought that I would include that detail. The Rogue Fishing Company drag strap is the biggest bargain in there!

Jeff - I know this is an older video, but i broke down and purchased an NRS kuda 106, which will be my first inflatable. That is mostly inspired by your videos, plus it was on clearance. I wanted the 126, but it was sold out, and the 106 was in stock. My question is , do you recommend mounting my torqeedo 1103 on an inflatable that short? The weight capacity is 250, and i weigh 220. That puts me right at (over) capacity with the motor and nothing else.
@TheLittleStuffАй бұрын
I haven’t tested the 106. I’ll say that shorter boats are less efficient with the power.

Thanks, Jeff. Two questions: Can you stand easily and fish that way from the inflatable, and can you use this on larger bodies of water like the Upper Bay or the harbor in Baltimore?
@TheLittleStuff Жыл бұрын
Ryan, standing is better on an inflatable- better primary stability. They aren’t so great in big open water compared to a well designed big water rotomolded (plastic) kayak because they let water wash through. It might just be a “because I motorized it” issue, but at speed any wave over two feet can wash through under your seat. Put tethers on all pliers or hand tools. In whitewater, the wash through happens, but it’s momentary, not sustained as it is charging into constant waves on big water. But if you fish shallow - tidal flats, rivers, inshore shallows, it’s shallow draft, stability and stealth can’t be beat!
@kevinjones4618 ай бұрын
How is the stability in relation to the plastic yaks available on the market today? I have fished out of inflatable drift boats, and they are incredibly stable, does the stability of inflatables carry over into the kayak style? Thanks!
@TheLittleStuff8 ай бұрын
It does. The primary stability is better than any rotomolded kayak. Simple physics of compressed air riding on water. It wants to stay up more than regular atmospheric pressure air inside a plastic hull.

Do you think this would be a good set up for mid to large lake tournament fishing? Great content, thank you!
@TheLittleStuff2 жыл бұрын
It would work. It’s a shallow water specialist. It goes in less than 2.5 inches. Rotomolded kayaks need between 5 and 9 inches of draft. I’ve had them in saltwater inshore in New England, the Gulf of Mexico and so many rivers and lakes in between. Big waves will wash through, so those tethers are critical equipment
@Jeremymorrow0792 жыл бұрын
Is there a reason you have the star seat on the kayak versus the nrs seat? Also what do you think of the stock foot pegs that come with that kayak? Really wanting to get one of those kayaks mainly for low water summer smallmouth fishing and wondering if the price jump between the star vs the nrs fishing kayak would be worth it. Great content
@TheLittleStuff2 жыл бұрын
It came with that seat. Star is an NRS brand. I like them both. The foot pegs worked for that first trip that I did before putting the motor on. Then they were in the way, so I removed them so I could put foot control steering of the Torqeedo on there.

How durable are these in extremely rocky rivers?
@TheLittleStuff2 жыл бұрын
Rocks are not an issue. Fish fins are occasionally - Small punctures that take days to notice. It’s a quick fix.

You are wrong on the psi of the boat. No place does it say the floor is 20psi. It says on the boat it should be 8 to 10.
