You say "show them the errors that are costing them sales" but how do you actually prove that the website errors are costing them sales? The lack of hard evidence is what turns prospects off

Not really on the topic of this video, but have you ever tried using the companies house API to see when new companies have been formed? I built a little tool locally to stream this data, but the physical address is the only semi-useful data I get back. Manually I need to go and see if this company has a Facebook page already so I can contact them (not going to post a letter to each one). I wonder if this is something you've tried and if I am missing something?

I’ve never tried this. Sounds interesting though

I do these audit all the time. The problem is getting the recipient to watch, read or engage with the audit, that's assuming you can get the audit past the gatekeeper of course. The problem is that businesses are bombarded with marketers approaches every day.

I’m address this in the next video. 👍

Agreed. I have tried this approach with lighthouse reports etc and detailing how I can make improvements to their existing site. It's time consuming. If I get responses from anyone, it's just to let me know how many of my type of emails they are getting.

@@webdigga The reality is that it's not easy in any way to get a relationship going with a prospect. If it was , everyone would be in business doing it. It's hard really hard and requires all sorts of zig and zag , many fails, head in hands, and the occasional win

Thanks Tristan! Been watching your vids for a few years now and they’re always very helpful. A main pushback from prospects that I get is “I don’t really need my website to generate me sales it’s just there for show”. Even though the website is terrible. Any recommendations to handle this objection?

I would say that if they categorically feel like they don’t need more sales, just move on to the next lead. If this is happening far too often, the. You might be going after the wrong industry/business type.

@@tristanparker An issue I increasingly find is the difficulty in demonstrating the connection between digital marketing (including website) and sales leads for the prospect.
