This happened in Graphic Design which is why I went into web design in 1992.

I was just thinking about this the past few days! I used to be a UX Designer and have seen the value of design decline over the past few years. I was looking into becoming a CRO Specialist (Conversion Rate Optimization) because of the visible value it brings into design, very much what you talked about in this video. Design should have a purpose beyond just being pretty.

To be a successful entrepreneur is to add value to the world. You can do that with gorgeous UX focused designs, but it cannot be the only metric. We must drive sales for our clients if we want to grow. 💯😊❤ We are here to serve our clients. Serve through helping them grow and the rest will follow.

Great video. I’m a carpenter here in Australia. I’m actually trying to make my own website using squarespace and I’m making my own buttons using canva. Im also trying to use figma, but I don’t understand it lol. Im not aiming for a good website but more to build the skills and knowledge to be able to talk to a designer and be able to speak their language and know what expectations to have for when I want a professional website built.

I have to add. Something that sounds like it’s relatable for both occupations…. The cheaper price ranges are often crippling a part of the industry. They lower the price not just for themselves, but for everyone. But what I see happen in construction, is of the client wants the work redone, they have to swallow their pride and pay for the demo or rectification, and then the work, and the work is usually at a different rate. Try not to see the lower priced guys as competition, because they may be the ones creating you work.

What in your opinion are the best businesses to reach out to that heavily rely on leads? For example you won’t be able to help a lot of people in restaurant businesses because they do not rely on their website, so what businesses are the best pick?
