Silence tells the narcissist they no longer matter. Their power is gone and the shackles you wore disappear. This is freedom and nothing is more precious than being free.

they honestly don’t really care about you. they don’t care about your feelings or what makes you you or the hardships you’ve been through. they care about their reputation. they care about how they look. they care about being on top of the social chain. they won’t stick their neck out for ya. they will shame you if they feel shame about the situation. no contact, acceptance of the personality disorder, education. that’s all you can do. i often find myself saying “and that’s just how it goes”. normalize telling yourself this. if people believed the smear campaign-and that’s just how it goes. the narcissist shocked you, hurt you, ruined your reputation-and that’s just how it goes. you have to focus on you and accept the truth.

@@esmelouise9046 yeah, it’s true, agree. It’s a rough road. When you don’t have people genuinely caring about you, life feels like a solo journey, and maybe that’s what life really is, at least mine is unfolding that way…the price to pay for freedom and safety.

Detaching is the best thing you can do for yourself. You begin to heal. The longer you are out of the relationship the more you heal. You understand. And will never want to go back. Your peace of mind is more important than being with a person who is toxic and doesn't respect your feelings. You become more important than the new supply and the toxic person. No contact speaks volumes.

When I walked out, I was not completely silent. I told them by TEXT (NOT in person) that their behavior was unacceptable and I left to take space. There forward, I stuck to emotionless logistical matters. The person showed their true self as they blame shifted, gaslighted, became emotionally unstable and blitzed me by text and emails, confirming my decision. I did NOT engage in these attempts to get me into a conflict. I went to a secluded place and realigned.

Andrews messages always inspire thought. It can be overwhelming realizations. Going silent is a basic self care mechanism to toxic circumstance past and revisited ptsd and a fog of disbelief. For the last years of becoming empowered with narcissism knowledge also includes the wisdom not to gaslight ourselves. We survive better in a bubble where we become accustomed to our knowledge hoping its become universal. Over the last almost 10 years now that was the hope. You learn, overcome then it reappears like societal cancer. Then you see how the flying monkeys outnumber you. Even if the fleet of monkeys doesnt affect you personally. Not only those in direct interpersonal morality conflict but a life changing discernment. As much as you can control and enjoy home sanctuary, once you go into the public all bets are off. Covert malevolence is everywhere looking for a scapegoat. They come out of previously trusted places. Churches, legal and politucal system....How naive. Mental health requires compartmentalization. Mass chaos has stepped on the accelerator. Avoid being targeted. As much as u wish orherwise, a narcissism pandemic is here. The evidence is clear and obvious.

Yes, Andrew, your descriptions of my life are yet again very perceptive. During the relationship, I witnessed the smashing of phones and laptops, punching holes in walls, screens and doors, the total absence of birthday gifts or even basic greetings when it was my birthday, but the assumption of lavish celebrations when it was the Narc's birthday. Yes, I experienced all this. I also experienced the burnout of my support system, and the smear campaign to ensure that I have no friends left in my town. You are spot on in all of these things. Despite all this, largely thanks to your videos, I have survived, I went no contact, I gradually understood what happened, and now, I am rebuilding my life. I am planning a relocation to another state in 2025, for which I am currently preparing and to which, I am very much looking forward. You have been such a blessing, Andrew, and your videos continue to sustain me and help me to recover. 🙏

One of the hardest things I’m encountering in real time with removing myself from narcissists in family is the backlash of criticism from extended family and even friends. They don’t get it, nor do they want to. They ‘assume’ you’re not trying hard enough or reacting to something in an unreasonable way. Yet, they don’t want to hear the truth. My silence is keeping me alone, in some ways that’s good for healing and in other ways the aloneness has its own pain.

You are so right. Both are true. Aloneness is needed and painful. Finding support on KZbin helps me see that others have been through the same and do get it. I also want to add that silence does eventually make them “get it”. BUT that is just words. If your family says they NOW get it, be skeptical.

The inability to leave the narcissist has to do with the person who won't leave. The emotional ties, the trauma bond is something which must be dealt with. You can get rid of one narcissist and just enter another narcissistic relationship. there has to be deep healing within a person not to walk into it in the future.

I went silent and no contact but have not blocked the Narc yet. I wanted to block N yesterday but could not do it because I had a panic attack and realized that I am trauma-bonded. I thought it was only a habit but now I know it is much worse. He managed to trauma bond me in four months and now I am almost three months silent trying to remove him from my mind. I am fine today. Realizing it is more serious than I thought is a positive move toward healing. I am more aware of how he did it. He started trauma bonding me right from the start by telling me what happened to his ex and that is the reason I am scared to block him but I think he was lying as no one who would do such a thing would talk about it. No way I will ever be in touch with him again. Thank you for such a strong empowering video.

This is beautiful, thank you for the encouragement and the powerful words. It’s a lifetime experience dealing with a family of narcissists. One day you pray for clarity and you have no idea you’ll spend the rest of your life getting it. Clarity shows up when you are able to recognize how the control mechanisms worked. How you were conditioned to live in denial as your reality was invalidated over and over and over again. And deceived by the very people that said, they loved you only wanting their own needs to be met. This is the world of the narcissist.

I have integrity & authenticity. My friends are from 40 yrs ago. In a 25 yr marriage to a narc/addict, all of those friendships could have been destroyed. With grace they all stood by me. I discarded 2 yrs ago, no contact. I have no business with such a deceptive person. Totally different people we were. I’m grateful everyday for freeing myself. Actually all the betrayal was the current I rode to calm water. With him, I was almost unable to roll my kayak in the upright position. Now, breathing air at 73. He suffered with his sexuality, that is not a crime. Most would have had a conversation with their spouse. For the narc, no, just wanted to live a double life. One’s sexuality is not a crime, however character says it all.

When their new scapegoat is a beloved sibling and there's nothing you can do about it. Your silence is doing them a favour. Your distance is doing them a favour. I don't feel empowered on the outside at all. It's exactly where they want me.

Indeed, silence 🔕 is very powerful....I couldn't stress this more.....leave the narcissist demon guessing, they cannot read your mind, think about this carefully, it could save your heart and mortal soul. From a real Clair sentinel....living in chilly England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 never give up....many blessings

These's creatures are everywhere like feeding chips to seagulls at the beach. Silence is our way to healing & building a much happier and healthier life for ourselves. I live in a small country town & one of many of these's disgusting creatures wasn't getting all the attention on himself anymore. This creature was telling people it had aids & was dying. Well as of that wasn't true & the narcissistic did this just for attention 🙄 this is how far some of theses creatures will go. Blessings 🌞 bright shining ✨️ 🙏 beautiful lights ✨️ ❤🎉

Your silence protects you from the futility, the abuse, the creepiness, the stress, and the horror of that fake relationship. Once you have invested your valuable time and energy with a deceptive, debased, and depraved entity, you never ever want to experience that pain again. Ain't no way.

It's normal and healthy to want to communicate with people, and it takes self-control when we would like to communicate and connect but know some other people aren't capable of that. This is good information because if we didn't know better, we might step into the bear trap again. Thoughts require energy and if we thinking about these people too much we are still being robbed. Even being around these kinds of people with no conversation sucks. Dark energy. You can sense the flying monkeys but most of us prefer to listen give them time to drop flags. No judgement just patience and observation.

All of this. Because I didn't know what I was dealing with, I fed the cycle with reacting to his toxicity and so my children witnessed my slamming doors and yelling and getting louder because he wouldn't hear or listen to me, all under the radar of course. The guilt I feel for not listening to my instinct which she trampled over and over and over and over again And not recognizing the pattern that became so clear when he discarded me out of nowhere for a married woman 23 years his junior, a member of his cult, and I remembered how he had left his previous girlfriend for me, and how I believed all the lies he told me about their relationship that he was certainly telling this new supply, which of course didn't work out And within months he was complaining to his adult children about her (we were still married and he was seeing this woman and complaining to his children, what does this tell you). Also my best friend who saw his tactics kept telling me you could meet anyone, you just need to find a new man, you look awesome (I am the total package in fact at the age of 60) etc I don't understand how people can't understand that you can't just move on like the narcissist did. I have taken time to heal and still working on it thanks to your and other channels

After their devaluation, triangulation, ghosting, discard and hoovering, only to go thru this cycle over and over...your silence is your power. It means you are done with the abuse and being used. .You realize your worth and you learn to love yourself. Thank you Andrew
