A fantastic analysis! I'm not a fan of Crossfit but I agree that HIIT training is absolutely the way to go. From the martial perspective, Musk need to work the sprawl, work escapes, and work off the cage. Thank you for putting amazing videos out there!

I agree if you want to be good at fighting in a short time, mma is the answer. mma is training you in repetitve movement to make you memorize it quickly. traditional martial art is more about understanding and cant be learnt that fast

I wouldnt let Musk train more than two submissions. I'm gonna go with RNC and Either Kimura or Americana. Why. He's new. You don't want to over load him with choices. Just give him a game plan either go for the back or get the arm lock from side mount. Fewer options also means more time to train those fewer options.

Agreed! That's why I recommended he learn a few but spend most of his time on counters, escapes, and reversals. I agree with you completely.

Another variable here is that Musk has publicly stated that he has Asperger's Syndrome (officially now known as autism spectrum disorder); with Zuckerberg, it is suspected but unknown whether he has the condition. How that affects someone in terms of physical and sensory processing varies, but it certainly has to be considered. I have ASD myself, and know a number of people who also have the condition.
@ArtofOneDojo
@ArtofOneDojo Жыл бұрын
Excellent point and a very important variable. I would have to say it probably depends on where they are on the spectrum. Sometimes a person has trouble focusing, other get hyperfocused and even obsessed. But excellent point to bring up.

Who do I want to win? Of course Mr. M because he is for free speech and has better products.
@ArtofOneDojo
@ArtofOneDojo Жыл бұрын
I agree mainly with what you said, though in my opinion M is no better person than Z. Not really for free speech because he was banning reporters from Twitter that criticized him, and a lot of his products or rather product pitches tend to be bait and switch opportunities for him to boost other business models (Hyperloop comes to mind). I still think Z wins if the fight happens today, but M could take it if he puts in the right work.

It'll take musk about a minute to up load all known martial arts knowledge in his brain via some kinda brain chip. About two weeks of cardio, calisthenics, and stretching, the rest would be trying out his new uploaded knowledge on bullet proof robots. His ring name could be Elon " Conan Bruce Gracie Norris" musk

I don't care who wins or if they even fight either, that wasn't the point of the video. The point was to ask the question if you had to prepare really quickly and had unlimited money, what are the ways to go about doing it. Was just a fun observation. This fight probably won't even happen.

Did you actually watch the video? This comment implies you didn't watch the video. It's not about caring about the fight or even who wins (and I said this right at the beginning). It's about analyzing the question of if you had to train really quickly for a fight and had unlimited resources, what would be a good way to do it. No one cares who actually wins, this video or discussion wasn't about that.
@jamielondon6436

@@jamielondon6436 I had to set the context of the situation in order to do an analysis. I said right at the beginning it wasn't about the fight itself, but rather if there was a time limit to learn how to fight with unlimited resources, then how to go about doing it. In order to do that...I had to set the context of who knew what and what the situation is and what people are saying now. If you stopped one third in that's your choice but then you chose to leave this comment anyway when you missed the point and 2/3 of the video.

@@ArtofOneDojo I'm a bit annoyed that creators seem to think that there's some kind of requirement to have a video viewed in full for a 'right' to comment on it. People can comment on a title alone if they want … or not even that. Often enough a large percentage of comments are just generalised positive feedback to the channel, creator, topic, whatever - I've literally never seen a creator complain about that! I get that you put a lot of work into your videos - most of the time I like them - but if you say you won't do something and then spent a third of the runtime on doing just that, don't be surprised that people get annoyed. That's just dishonest. If you prefer, put in chapter marks so people can jump a portion they don't like (many creators do that), ignore negative feedback (far more do that), or find a different solution. I don't care. I watch the videos that interest me, and if one fails to deliver, I skip it.

@@jamielondon6436 "I'm a bit annoyed that creators seem to think that there's some kind of requirement to have a video viewed in full for a 'right' to comment on it." I never said nor implied that you didn't have the right to comment. But look at the flipside...tons of people make comments based on the title or what they think the video is without watching it, and many times they make a comment that was either answered or irrelevant. No, there is not a requirement for the freedom to comment, but sometimes there is a risk for some people to look silly when they criticize something that was addressed or not relevant. (You didn't do this, I'm speaking in a general term). I personally don't comment on people's videos unless I watch them. I feel my comment or opinion would be empty otherwise. I didn't clickbait this video, I said right off the bat it wasn't about who would win and there was a bigger discussion to it. I said at the 1:20 minute mark who I thought would win. Take away the time for the open logo and quick T shirt pitch, that's me answering THAT question within the first minute. The rest of the discussion starts at 1:45 about why it matters and what we can learn from it. In order to do that, there has to be an establishment of the variables. So the majority of this video was on the actual discussion. I was direct as possible at the beginning about what this was. Now, if I didn't hold your attention, well ok then that's bad on me and bad structure. But I got into the meat of the discussion before the 2 minute mark of a 9 minute video, so it's not really fair to say I was dishonest about the content.
