Dan himself suffered with depression and self-deletion thoughts. He's been very open and honest about it. This is such a powerful song, and Dan does it so well! I really hope it makes it onto the Manowar tribute album he's working on!

I hope with every fiber of my being that this song of Dan’s just reaches so many who are losing their will to fight to stay here in their pain. I almost lost my son to suicide but by the grace of God, I did not. This really touched me deeply and I don’t think I could admire or appreciate Dan more ❤

You are right, Maria, I feel it too. Dan Vasc always wants to give us so much more than just his beautiful voice. He stood there, delivered this speech to us, and then sang this song so wonderfully. It's highly remarkable, especially when you consider how very young he was back then. I also can hear the voice of Eric Adams from MANOWAR.

He came so close to the end. He said on a podcast, when he was asked about his period of depression, how he managed to pull himself away. He answered, his music. Everything that got him to his depression, he burned the bridges. So there was no where else but to go up. He is such an amazing singer, we forget that he is still human. So much heart and soul goes into his recordings. Thank his Christian faith also.

September is international suicide awareness month, and Dan has previously done a couple of these intro/outro messages to help bring awareness to his audience. As a society, we can sometimes be a bit slack when it comes to mental health issues and sometimes we need a bit of a poke to remind us...in Oz we have the "R U OK" campaign to help us prod our mates, and loved ones, to talk about what's on their, and our, minds... it can help to know that someone cares enough to ask R U OK?... 🙃🐨🇦🇺

Thanks for your words 🙏 this is the hardest thing I've ever had to go through. I never thought anything can hurt so much. I married my first love in1980 and now I'm just lost. Every day is a bad day. Dan's videos helps me from going down to far. Music was a big part of our life. LOst in Paradise is a song from Dan show how I'm feeling. 🤔 God bless you 🙏 ❤️ RSA

@user-rz6lr7bg7t , oh, my dear, I have no one. I was married for almost 5 years to a man who never really loved me. I've been happily divorced for almost 30 years. No kids or grandkids. I've never known what it's truly like to be loved by someone. But I'm healthy and happy and have 3 cats! You were blessed to love and be loved, and that's why it hurts so deeply. All your memories will sustain you. If you have a family, you're very fortunate. Remember the love you shared and know he would want you to live life to the fullest every day. Don't stop living until God calls you home. As you know, our time here is short, so we all need to remember to make each day count. Sometimes, it can be a struggle, but we hold on and do the best we can with what we've got. And a little Dan Vasc makes every day better. ❤️
