I have scoured youtube for a lot of questions i had for Logic this past 2 months as i have been speed learning this DAW on the go as i was tracking 2 original song’s vocal tracks! Your videos are hands down some of the best especially for someone like me who is trying to become proficient while understanding some easily overlooked fundamentals which are lacking in most other youtube’s videos. Gratitude brother! 🙏🏼♥️

Excellent info and presentation/explanation! Thanks for the short cut key commands you mention every time too :-) Do you have a vid on the most efficient way to export multi-tracks and stems from LPX to a professional mixer? Thank you, Cheers

Excellent vid. This is where I live every day, so I didn't really gather a new skill, but it's cool to confirm. When I import mult take drums, in my group settings, I always un-check automation mode, volume and mute. (DSDF-different strokes for different folks)

For the purposes of sending a completed song recording to get mixed should I be bouncing project or exporting all tracks as audio files? I would think the latter as that eliminates the mixer from having to adjust the start time of the separate regions? I get a bit confused with this.

This is the best video on this that is actually ahowing me what I wanted to do! I appreciate this video so much! Now I can import and comp multiple takes a lot easier from different recordings! Idk why this is so hidden.

Hi Chris, thank you for the videos, I find them very helpful. In regard to this particular video. I attempted to use the MOVE audio to recorded position in Logic on tracks that I recorded on ProTools but nothing happened. Any ideas on what I may need to do or is this not something that will work with exported ProTools audio files?

I have one of my drum mic tracks that doesn’t have take numbers that line up with the other 7 drum mic tracks… is there a way to manually reassign take numbers to that one track so I can make a comp of all 8 as a a group? What I’m saying is drum take 1 on most of the tracks doesn’t correspond to take 1 on one of the drum tracks (because I forgot to record enable the room mic for half the session) HeLP? Thank you!

Another way I like to import is with Logic browser on the right side, especially when I'm importing into my template with buses and auxes set up. That way I can drag-drop tracks without finder disappearing under Logic window.

Hi there, thanks a ton! this has helped me save a lot of time in many situations. What I do struggle with is, when doing cut and paste edit, such paste is not applying to the other tracks in the group even when editing is selected, whyyyy?! Since I have you here, the other issue driving me nuts is I have a Focusrite Red4Pre main interface, when I record 10 simultaneous tracks, the recording is printed some samples later than where it was played, so after every take(or alternatively at the end of the recording once we start listening and comping), I need to manually drag the newly recorded tracks a few samples back so they match the intended point. Why does logic print later than where it was intended to be recorded? seems like a bug

Is their any way to upsample audio tracks from say 44 to 48 without having to export them a track at a time, or better yet from within the project itself all at once?

So consolidation is not that much important, since we can export as audio track instead of regions and move regions to the recorded position? Is that right? Or is there an actual difference between exporting as audio or region, and consolidation is still valuable/necessary?

wow thats cool. does this work with non comped takes from pro tools?

Hi, I have problems with vocal stems in a project where the gain/volume of the recorded vocal all of a sudden had disappeared to an almost inaudible volume. I adjust it up and save but upon reopening the project it is gone again. I want to export the takes/takefolders but when I do, and import them into a new project, all the takes come after each other on one stem. What am I missing? If you can help me solve any of these two I will be extremely grateful! @WhyLogicProRules

I’ve learned a ton about drum group editing from your videos 👍 but whenever I enable Flex on my drum tracks I find that the Flex algorithm puts its split markers right on top of the drum hits? When I start quantizing or stretching I get all these weird ‘flam’ artifacts? 🤔

It didn't work for me. There were several regions that did not move. Most did but about 6-8 didn't. Not sure what to do...
