'All wiccans are witches, but not all witches are wiccan' is an easy way to remember the difference I find. And from a trad wiccan point of view no you don't have to practice spellcraft to be wiccan, but the moment you consecrate salt and water, draw the circle, create sacred space, call the quarters (etc) then you are practicing magic which in turn is a form of witchcraft.

Or another way to differentiate between Wicca and Witchcraft is that Wicca is a religion that incorporates Witchcraft, and Witchcraft is a practice that any one can practice.

Thanks so much, you've given me lots of good notes for a grimoire. I realize now I only practice witchcraft and am not wiccan. I was previously upset because I thought if I wanted to practice witchcraft I would have to abandon my current religion. I'm happy to know that I can keep practicing and also practice my religion.

I am a hedge-witch, & I really appreciate this video. All too often people associate Wicca with all forms of witchcraft. Where in truth you do not have to have the religious aspect of that to practice any type of magick. i respect Wicca as a religion, but I do not follow their principles for I am not a Wiccan, just a witch. All too often people who are starting out in the path of Witchcraft think that they have to abandon there religion or brought up principles to practice witchcraft, which is completely untrue. It's nice to see you video dismissing this way of thinking

I feel I aline with Wicca a lot but it being a religion part. I find it to be more of a practice to me but wverything else with Wicca is good like karma and how its personal for you. I would suggest for you to read up on more paths in Witchcraft (not just Wicca) and see if anything is suitable to you. I would say if you like the connection to Nature and the ‘Harm None’ morality, then it might be interesting for you to look into Green Witchcraft as that path is known to be a very similar path to Wicca but without the religious aspect :) and since you are still new, I also think with time you learn more about the things you like and are looking for in your spiritual journey, meaning you may or may not find Wicca to work for you, and with time you’ll find the right direction ❤️

They are very popular in Wicca but they are based on the European Pagan celebrations which predates Wicca so yes, anyone can celebrate them really 😁

BUT that movie is INTERFERING WITH OUR WORLD whether we like it or not, by what preaches and teaches about Witchcraft. That is why I think its important and an upcoming, growing problem for real magic users and our culture. BTW, thank you for your polite response and not being rude or dismissive. There is too much of that on youtube and sometimes I don't even feel like posting a comment. there recently was a comment by GRACE RANDOLPH who does the movie/cinema review channel, BEYOND THE TRAILER and same name "Movie Math". She made an ignorant comment about witches AND ATTACHED that belief implying "just because that is what movies portray witches as.." [ and we all know that is true of the myth or genre, stuff]. Bullcrap. Okay, so what did she say? It was ABOUT HER REVIEW OF WANDA VISION show. She said , "we all know witches have problems and issues with children and don't like them" in culture and in past lore. Honestly I disagree in some aspects. The threefold law never was a part of Wicca Gerald Gardner even in his book witchcraft today he said that witches could in fact curse. And also wiccans are witches Wicca means witchcraft if you are wiccan you must practice witchcraft that’s what Wicca is witchcraft and of course Gerald Gardner used the word wica with a c to describe a word an old English word for witch he never referred to what he practice as Wicca but simply just Witchcraft
