Considering even in the last trial she told Billy that he saved Jen cuz her plan was to kill them all, I don't think she learnt it yet. Growing into a mentor role? This she has actually done! One of my biggest problems, is we were shown a tonne of Agatha's Conflicts/issues but little was done to resolve them! Also I feel like finding the strength of community was Lilia's conclusion/ lesson learnt and not Agatha's. Agatha actually hasn't yet resolved any of her past issues yet...

Looking forward to whatever comes next, but struggling to see how Vision quest could manage the narrative threads of the Maximoff twins, Agatha, Vision, Wanda, Ultron AND Virginia though. Hoping these characters get fleshed out further in other projects in the next couple of years too.

@@daeity1 It definitely feels strange that they gave the showrunner role over to the Star Trek guy, but unless Kevin’s a total moron I’d expect it only happened because Wanda and Jac are both going to be better utilised in a different project, whether that’s the Scarlet witch movie or a Wiccan/YA/Agatha show. I hope she’s been brought on as an advisor for the handling of Wanda’s story in Doomsday too. Especially with the inclusion of Ultron in Vision quest, maybe they’re taking on heady concepts about AI and its threat to humanity, which might not leave space for the themes of family, grief, magic and superheroes-in-suburbia explored in AAA and Wandavision.

I think Scaeffer should be handed the reins of not just witch corner and Wandaverse but the entire supernatural/horror corner of the Mcu. Let her play with vampires, werewolf by night, moon knight etc etc in addition to witches. I think these shows have a common fanbase thats clearly hungry for more. Maybe all these stories could build up to a Midnight Sons project? This would also be an easy way to solve the Mcu's lack of correlation problem. They can just start creating divisions for various corners of MCU (supernatural, spy, cosmic, street, blackpanther, spiderman) each with its own head and overarching storyline. Feige would be the one keeping every one on the same page.

I like the polarity and contrast of Wiccan's and Wanda's paths despite being so similar. Wanda lost a lot of people throughout her story and went from Avengers/spy stuff to the mystic witchy corner of Dr Strange and the Agatha stuff. In contrast to Wiccan, who seems to be gaining allies, found families, and friends during his debut and is moving on from the witchy magic stuff to the Avengers/YAvengers corner. Kinda interesting when you think about it. It's like MCU Wanda's story done right lol. Heck, he even got the ghost Agatha mentor Wanda had from the comics. Billy now reminds me of Wanda from X-men Evolution just less angry.

@niemand9362 maybe, but agatha was also an e-level character with powers too similar to the main character of WandaVision and still got her own show that did quite well. besides, Jen was part of the Midnight Sons at various points in her life, and she's one of the few characters who actually exist in the MCU, and her cousin is Johnny Blaze, so getting her on the team could also introduce him. Jen should 100% be part of the team if they ever make that movie.

Definitely interested to see what happens next with Jennifer. It seemed like she and Rio didn’t get a resolution in Agatha all along, and I suspect it’s because they have more plans for both characters outside of this corner of the MCU. That said, I felt like Sasheer was a great actress in the more comedic moments, but I didn’t always find her so convincing as a dramatic actress. Midnight Sons is probably a good few years away, but I can see that side working well as a distinct and mostly separate part of the MCU when the main focus becomes the X-Men after secret wars.

fans want Kit Connor to be Teddy not only because he's very comfortable with Joe Locke, not only because he acted out essentially the same exact dynamic that's expected for Billy and Teddy but because he also looks the part so well. I think Hulkling will be a character where his looks will be almost just as important as his chemistry with Wiccan. If they can't get Kit Connor (or he just doesn't wanna do it), then let's get someone that Looks like Kit Connor. I'm sorry to the actor they got to play Billy's boyfriend in the show, but i'd prefer someone who looks like Teddy does in the comics.

About the hate... it occurred to me in the past we had tv channels or we had blocks of programming which were dedicated to certain demographics. A Star Wars show could appear on a tv channel aimed at kids and adults would know it wasn't aimed at them and they'd probably not watch it. Nowadays there's no more channels, everyone assumes that any show put out by Marvel or Star Wars IS for them because there's nothing to say otherwise. Agatha effectively side stepped that because it's a show about Witches and male audiences understood it was more aimed at a female audience than them hence no backlash.

I'm so happy we will be seeing more of Aubrey Plaza as Rio. I really didn't like the outcome of Agatha and Rio. I personally think Agatha does love Rio. The push back on Rio from Agatha is just her constant reminder how she lost Nicky. I think they should get back together, there was a lot of love there. Side story, last year I saw Aubrey Plaza on off broadway and the night I went Elizabeth Olsen was in the audience (they're really good friends). She is sooo pretty. I'm not sure anyone recognized her, no one bothered her. I saw her wait after the show to say hi to Aubrey. I didn't have the guts to say hello or ask her for a photo, I hate the idea of bothering someone. Anyways, she seemed really kind and looked like she had a nice time. I feel like the story should proceed naturally. (1) Agatha and Rio need to parallel Wanda and Vision in that their son Nickolas Scratch is also a super powerful magic user given that one of his mothers is Death (2) Billy finds Tommy, Agatha goes to find Nicholas' spirit and ressurectss both Agatha and Nicholas. Agatha splits and goes with Nicholas. (3) Death decides that Billy must, therefore, die to balance with Nicholas being resurrected. (4) Wanda, Vision, Billy and Tommy vs. Agatha, Death and Nicholas

Her and Agatha being exes wasn't even crucial to the story or any of these developments. I'd much rather see new developments for Wiccan (a future big player) than find out how Agatha met Rio (something we can guess already and is a waste of time). Agatha's story is told imo

I hope we see Agatha again on next show whether it’s WICCAN followed by VISIONQUEST where Billy and Agatha and Tommy to then go off together to find father aka Vision. I'm hoping by the end of all that Billy uses his magic to resurrect Agatha back to life. By then she'd be redeemed, but still her shady naughty self we all love, and still be in the MCU move forward as a leading member of the supernatural witchy side MCU and interact with other characters of the franchise and grow her influence and be someone to turn to when supernatural forces threaten the world. I do hope so because Agathas popularity has skyrocketed and that's all a testament to Katheryn Hahns brilliant and genius performance of the character and to see her be just hanging around as a ghost/be written off just when we are beginning to get to know her and the character seems a BIG mistake. So yeah, once the boys and Vision are reunited, Billy uses his magic to resurrect/bring her back to life and they can all move forward from there...

Young Avengers should be a Disney+ series where they explore a different character's backstory in each episode and tie it to the plot. It's too many characters, I hope they don't repeat the mistakes they did with Eternals (which deserved so much better).

WandaVision had a lot of input from Matt Shakman who also directed ALL the episodes, so Jac doesn't get all the credit for that show like she does for Agatha. Agatha was really niche in appeal and if the Nielsen ratings don't either go up, or stay in the top 10 for a few weeks after the finale, they need to go in a different direction from all of this.

I’ll be honest. I really feel bad for Simi Lu as Shang-Chi was setup to be a big member of the New Avengers team in Kang Dynasty but now he might barely be used for Doomsday & Secret Wars. So many outcomes that are beyond his control with everything that happened in 2023 with the Jonathan Majors Trial and the Hollywood strikes. Hopefully he’ll have a bigger part post Secret Wars but sadly I’ll be surprised 😞.

Nico Minoru is also already in the MCU I feel the the Runaways show is one of the most forgotten MCU shows ever. They can easily bring her into the Wiccan show for the fans who already know her from the show.

I think working Billy and Tommy into Vision and then making children’s crusade part of the storyline for Doomsday is their best bet to get the story we need done on time and in order. Then they’ve set Billy up very well with the additional exposure for a solo project after Doomsday, and given Wanda a deeply satisfying next story beat for a film all about concluding the narrative threads of the multiverse saga. It’s simple math. Hope Kevin and the Russos are switched on enough to make it happen. My worry is this storyline is bottom of their work pile because they were waiting to see if fans were too toxic about Agatha and now they have no headspace. But the Russos are big fans who have been following along all this time. So, maybe 🤞

Honestly, I think we need a break from all the separate exclusive shows and just bring in the Young Avengers already: Miss Marvel, Kate Bishop, Wiccan, Ironheart already have decent exposure. It's time to bring them all together plus introduce the few remaining Young Avengers like Hulkling and Speed.

Doing that will end up feeling like Eternals 2. Most of those characters we're not invested in emotionally. They aren't grown enough except for like 3. Darn even Wiccan isn't ready for Young Avengers since he's still going through an identity crisis, finding what happened to his family and trying to control his magic. That's a lot to dump into a young Avengers show when you have 6 or 7 other characters that also need fleshing out

Its the depth. The other shows aren't as layered in metaphors or within themselves and progress more neatly and conventionally. After watching Falcon again, it felt so shallow. Same with Ms Marvel. Loki is maybe the closest other than WandaVision in scope. They haven't been very ambitious

I just dont think it’s feasible for Billy & Agatha to show up in Doomsday without any further development somewhere else first. I honestly think Doomsday might just be about getting Scarlett Witch back on the playing field. As you said I think Billy needs another series to level up and find Tommy first.

Yeah. He's still way to unstable to be showing up in superhero circles. He needs time with Agatha to get a hold of his identity, his powers and find his brother to deal with the fallout between them. It's unrealistic to expect him to be on the battlefield while so many threads are trailing behind him. So either they greenlight that Wiccan series so he and Agatha can get to all that before Doomsday or it'll happen after.

I want a young avengers series. I think it'd do better as 6-8 episodes on D+. I'd like to actually spend time with Wiccan and Hulkling without overseas cinema sensibilities being a factor

It always bugged me how the comics largely ignore Tommy, often leaving him in the dust and never expanding or developing his character. In fact Marvel has just never cared much for their speedster characters. It’d be nice to see the MCU treat Speed with more respect.

Personally I think putting Wiccan in the Midnight Suns would be my choice. Especially if the rumors are true that the Blade movie script might be escaping pre-production hell. Agatha already does appear as a member of the Midnight Suns in the games so would be cool to see how Billy and Agatha interact with Blade, the Black Knight, Werewolf By Night, and Dr Strange all interact with each other.
