about 4/5 years ago I went to a club with my mates and this song came on and drunk me only remembered a little bit of the tune. and it tortured me for years trying to remember it. til Saturday when it came on at a mates house. I listened to all the "A Weekend in the City" album, I don't know how many of you guys did that but I strongly recommend it. It's literally one of the most criminally underrated albums of all time. The amount of critical YEARLY (not decade, not all-time) accolades it received is appallingly insignificant for an album of this stature, deepness and complexity

Was living in Washington, DC during my 20s and saw as much live music as possible. I think I'd heard one or two of their songs, went to see them at the Black Cat on 14th St. I think the ticket was $8 and I stood about 5' from them as they played. Excellent show, very good band and performers. I always thought their drummer was absolutely awesome.

man this reminds me back around 2005 to 2007, being a punk ass teenager discovering the wild west days of the internet, posting on /b/ threads laughing my ass off. finding all sorts of cool music, looking up weeaboo shit, trying to get alcohol with my friends on the weekends, playing the vidya, caught up in chasing after girls. the future seemed bright. the internet was a lot cooler back in those days too. i used to listen to this song all the time back then now everything fucking sucks and i hate my god damn life. thanks for making remember those great times, bloc party - flux!
