@@HelfirehydratransNot supporting her behavior here or anything but Wicked isn’t her first major movie outside of musical theater. “Harriet” where she acted as Harriet Tubman was a popular movie when it came out and was also played at my highschool auditorium for black history month a few years ago. But this should be her second major movie, which doesn’t make it too much different, and she’s currently self sabotaging but she does have some history in the industry besides Wicked so she probably doesn’t care much about how her words can impact this new movie since most studios care about experience and past works over social behavior, as seen with Amber Heard in Aquaman 2 when everyone wanted her recasted but she still stayed in the movie. I’m glad you talked about this. I don’t spend a lot of time on social media, but when I read the articles on it-Wicked is my favorite Broadway musical of all time-I was suddenly very uninterested in actually watching the movie. I had no idea that there was a musical based on the Wizard of Oz. The image of the "bad witch" was very intriguing to me. I remember seeing Wicked on Broadway some 15yrs ago and I was incredibly impressed. Elphaba as a character is cunning, conniving, and nefarious.
