Great review. Imagine collective action as the catalyst when you get a seeking crystal. Or a shorter version of it that only procs from the exotic perk. Would let you lower the ttk but would take a good amount of start up.

You're always keeping my teams on their toes lol, thanks for the games! You're absolutely right, getting hit by the unexpected long-range slow effect definitely induces a minor panic and makes me scramble for safety. I feel like this gun is very well suited for support-style gameplay.

Kinda confused as to why the Catalyst doesn't give it Collective Action or Headstone. Either of those would surely fit the weapon so much better!!? I mean Collective Action would really beef the Scout up for PVE & PVP! Headstone would be more PVE focused I'd say but you could still use it to abuse the Shards, Shatter, etc.

TV, do you think that the "we don't want to encourage passive play" reasoning holds water? It seems that pulse rifles do everything that scout rifles do - only better. The difference in range seems inconsequential in most situations. Pulses seem to be more forgiving and induce more flinch because of the burst fire. Am I totally off-base? Are there subtleties that I don't understand? Is it something that would cause problems in Trials?

I actually used it in quickplay right after I had it drop from the Deep Dive. Got a "we ran" with it since I was helping my teammates slow enemies and cleaning up since they couldn't slide into cover fast enough.

I love utility on weapons, but I think most exotics need a damage perk on the weapon or the catalyst to give them an Emph. They could've given this weapon the new perk "collective action" on the catalyst! But that would be fun....god forbid lol

My .67TTK box breathing, no distractions hung jury 3 taps anywhere on the map & out guns & performs all scouts including exotics! 💪💪 It’s my favorite pvp gun to use in sixes & I am a slow sit in the back of the map knucklehead jerk who still has more zones capped & most kills while camping. 😂😂😂 I see no use for this exotic in pvp or Pve but still appreciate ur opinion True! 😎

You can use d2foundry for ttks, is much better, you can choose perks, buffs, exotic armors etc, and it would work

Use it with the stat boost time armor mods for ability regen. Think of each shard giving you 15 sec of +3 int/strength/disc. The dmg boost for a surge isn’t worth it.

Ez exotic mission setup we used was 2 missile arc titans with thunder lord and supremacy plus 1 well warlock with div, was paddy 1 1/2 phase.

only one person in the fireteam needs all the fish btw. everyone else will still get the exotic when you finish it. you may even only need one person to have each fish in the fireteam. cant confirm the last one

Creeping Attrition is helpful in 1 v 1 because it helps make sure you secure the kill. It prevents your opponents escape.

Some point out to me that this guns exotic perk will be better if it was just chill clip. They couldn't even made it like you need two shots to slow, two shots to freeze and then two shots to shatter if you're getting head shots and then three to body.

Certainly there's a fine line to walk with scouts in PvP, but they've got a pretty wide berth to explore with this exotic. Here's hoping the catalyst turns out to do a little more than we know about because as-is there's just so many better options vying for its spot in the kinetic slot. I'm enjoying it, but the archetype sucks and it doesn't feel exotic enough. This weapon really should've been a 260rpm.

Bungie doesn't want scouts to be too powerful, but hand cannons and forerunner have higher TTK at scout distances. It makes no sense. Playing to range on a scout with lower TTK is fine, as long as other guns do not have higher TTK at range they have no business being in.
