A lot of people say the film has no plot. I would argue that the brotherly bond between Mario and Luigi IS the plot of the film. It's about the lengths Mario would go to protect Luigi. Even being dragged into a war that's not his own to do it.

When toad told Mario that Luigi was going to die and when he was with peach while she touched a fire flower I could tell that Mario was really worried and upset about Luigi! Bowser is an amazing villain x) I love that he's all shy and awkard when it's about Peach, and his song is perfection. He's a classic villain of the Nintendoverse with that sense of "I can be good if I get what I want" while someone like Ganondorf, in most of his apparition, doesn't care at all about anyone else. they would make a good contrast with one another :) And for Mario and Luigi relationship, it's what I loved most about that movie. Seeing how Mario always care about him in that first Brooklyn scene when he makes a road for his brother touch me deeply. I remember crying watching that because my little brother is the most important thing in my life. And the nickname ! Luigi has a nickname ! I can't handle so much sweetness

The brotherly love between Mario and Luigi the bros themselves was my favorite out of all of them like their flashback as babies and reunion were so heartwarming to me, I just wished they got more screentime together as bros even though Luigi send most of his not really doing anything while inside a cage. really love: mario/luigi(favorite moments as they are just as heartwarming as the games especially & their fight against bowser reminding me of ryu/ken against m. bison that also showed a closer relationship of a brotherly duo.:3) mario/peach(2nd favorite as while the beginning could've handled a few things better i loved it more than i thought showing peach's sweetness helping mario that i'd love to see more of in the sequel of them being a couple/expand the games with it.) mario/toad(wish the adventure was a bit longer to see them interact more but really love how loyal to his friends with neither objecting.) bowser/kamek(like how it's a bit less one sided ambiguous compared to robotnik and agent stone while kamek still gets comically handled for enabling bowser.) and mario/donkey kong(really made me think about how different their series are with how mario jumps to duty while dk usually is laid back unless someone messes with his friends/banana hoard and was awesome seeing dk use the power ups/try his best to defend mario from bowser and has a better relationship with cranky compared to how ornery he is in the country games,hope we see more of him with diddy/dixie.)

My favorite dynamic was between Mario and Donkey Kong. Purely because they have the EXACT same dynamic that I had with my little brother when we used to play these games as kids. There was a moment where Mario kicked a shell that bounced back and hit him. Donkey Kong pointed and laughed before immediately being hit by the exact same shell. @@Goomba1309 There's Mario Power Tennis. When Luigi won, Mario stepped on his foot out of jealousy and even laughs about it, which is quite concerning that Nintendo even went with that.

@@davidsainju478 Well, for one, that's some mere, harmless sibling rivalry than outright hostility, and Luigi wasn't terribly bothered by it. And for another, that's literally ONE example of Mario supposedly being a "bad" brother (and I'm absolutely sick of seeing it being used as "proof" of such) against a plethora of examples of Mario actually being a good brother to Luigi: saving him from King Boo in Super Mario 64 DS; protecting him when the Star Gate was insulting him in Mario and Luigi Partners in Time, show nothing but pure gratitude to him when Luigi saved him from a painting, twice even (even calling him "number one")... Hell, even in Mario Power Tennis, when Koopa wins, and Luigi gets hurt, Mario rushes to his side to check on him. Plus it's not like Luigi himself is a complete and total saint. He literally laughed at Mario in the ending of the first Luigi's Mansion game (granted, he was still happy to see him, but still), though again, that's ONE example of Luigi being anywhere resembling mean to Mario
