Also, not everyone loves exactly the same; you might still love someone after this, but not everyone would. Not opening a file in a chain letter is one thing. Refusing to open a file sent by someone who loves you (and who you very probably also love), right in front of her or him is another. Of course, you're going to open the file - unless you, somehow, already know about it. That being said, it could be a way to break the chain : Most people live with their loved one, so use it to your advantage to end the curse once and for all. You could start by getting your girlfriend in a room. Then, tell her all about that curse. Send the file to a secondary email address she only uses for trivialities, such as receiving adverts and special offers from companies. Make her change her password to a random sequence of characters pressed on a keyboard while being blindfolded. There, it's done.

I can definitely see this curse falling flat as soon as it passes to someone that's selfless enough not to pass it to a loved one. I know that there is a level of self-preservation that most people would have the curse perpetuate for a while, but once it eventually does reach people that are legitimately willing to sacrifice themselves for the sake of humanity, then it does diddly squat (since there's over billions of people around the world with different moral compasses, so it'd be bound to happen eventually). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯🤪 In retrospect, it kinda reminds me of the Ju-On and The Ring series (except it's harder to prevent Kayako or Samara from spreading like a plague to society), which makes them scarier.

Dude this was really good! I think, the thing with all these "short horror" films that you have on the youtubez is that it is essentially always just someone walking in a dark room or house for 5 minutes and then they end with a jumpscare. this was top pacing and scary! it even included a story that even though probably inspired by the ring or so, was good and has background! 10/10 :) I have made 2 shorts myself, they are not comparable to this, but my idea is to get away from this basic "short horror" style that i just mentioned. It's just hard, i have a lot to learn :) Peace.

I liked very much this shott horror movie. Congratulations! To condense a film like Ringu, by Japanese director Hideo Nakata (The Ring, in it's American version) in a 7:36 minutes short movie is a real tour de force. The theme of the need to transmit the curse that fell on us to survive has proved more than fruitful, since the release of the first film, in 1998.The editing, the pace, the music create a crescendo effect that keeps the viewer in suspense from beginning to end. And it’s without forgetting the excellent playing of the four protagonists, including the witch, which instills panic and despair that embraces the characters... to the delight of the witch and those who watch this video.
