nice test. I think you will find the 'g' is silent in "Vignette" though. xD

Thanks, but I enjoy saying it that way 😜

this is why i just haven't been able to get behind the new rf 24-105 2.8, it trades quality for flexability. straight up the old ef glass out performed both rf lenses in this test. I would love to see the classic rf trinity at work in this shot though - 15-35, 24-70, and 70-200.

Yeah there is defs a trade off for sure. But for it does serve it purpose I feel. I think I grab the 15-35rf next, my ef version has had quite the life to date, bit soft these days haha Thanks heaps for your thoughts!

@@videographerstuff539 I’m one of those odd operators that started investing in rf glass with a c70 only. Looking forward to using them with the c400. Loved the speed booster too, but the rf native canon glass specifically, just worked a little better vs using the boosted ef glass - even though using them meant giving up quite a bit of space. Love the fact that I can now shoot native FF or punch in with s35 mode and still get the same frame options I’m used to working with :) All my other glass is FF as well, so the 400 is a very nice jump up in my kit!

That’s great. I think us shooters that enjoyed and loved the c70 are only going to enjoy the c400 even more now. Its always nice having a fresh bit of kit to re energise 😁

@@videographerstuff539 Any luck finding a cage to fit your needs? I'm looking heavily at the tilta, but need one that has a rod mount option built in front without having to put rails on. Looking heavily at Tilta, Shape, Zacuto, and Maybe parts of the mid49 set, but I'm trying keep things light and functional. Would love to get your take.

Well I’ve ordered the Tilta one, should arrive in the next two weeks. I mainly went on price to be honest. It looks to have everything I need, fingers crossed 🤪. I’m interested to see, if I put a rod clamp on the top plate, if that gets you any closer to the lens gears, rather than just going from the bottom ones. The cube shape of the c400 might make it the same distance with the Tilta cage. If money wasn’t as issue I would buy bright tangerine without a doubt. I love their build quality and economics. Their sliding top handle makes balancing for easyrig really quick when swapping lenses. But I just can’t justify the price tag atm. It’s so much more expensive. I’ll put a video up once I’ve tested the Tilta one out. Hopefully that can give you more insight to its potential for your needs.
