Fatty & Sterlo. Those were the days. League media today can’t compete with that. Sterlo’s a legend and will be missed
@darylkanofski9327 Жыл бұрын
You are so right, the duo were hands down the best on tv in that era but Sterlo just kept on getting better as a commentator and without a doubt the best there has been in Rugby League

Fatty made me cry last night when I watch this tribute to Peter Sterling. Fatty and Sterlo were just magic together and so genuine. To-days footy media have a lot to learn before they come anywhere close to these two. Brace, Joey and Freddy, Danika and Ruanne have potential.

For those of us who have never picked up a ball, we all think Gould knows everything. Then a few years down the line we realized Sterlo was the best analyser of the game. He taught us who never played so much. He made us understand more than should be possible without lacing up a boot. We appreciate that. No one ever said a bad word about him. We all admired his unbiased commentary. Yeah, we know he wanted parra to win. But he didn't turn it into a game of favourites ever. He was the best we could learn from. And we appreciate that. He should have coached. But, for us greenhorns, we're better off knowing what we know because he stayed with us. Thank you Sterlo. We love the greatest game of all. But we understand it more because of you.
