This band is criminally overlooked and underrated and it's a shame. I've seen them play live several times and they were never less than incredible. You should totally check out their song, "Fall of the Peacemakers". No one is doing so and it's another shame. It's a fantastic song.

Bruce Crump was a helluva drummer…You should hear “ Boogie No More”…lead singer Danny Joe Brown has guitars going and he takes a break and says “ I’m going to turn these boys loose on you one time”, and all guitar hell breaks loose.

Molly Hatchet was my 1st concert, I was 13 in 79! Was shocked when they came out with 3 dueling guitars! Danny Joe Brown has a voice that is crazy powerful and unmistakable! Gator Country and Fall of the Peacemakers are musts if youre gunna go down the Molly Hatchet Highway! The Album cover Art is Frank Frazetta`s work!

Funny little story. I was home on leave from the Navy when this album was released. My older brother heard this coming out of my car stereo and asked me who it was . He ask me "Who the hell is molly Hatchet?" I told him it was Lynard Skynards wife ! He didn"t get it.

Molly Hatchet had three lead guitar players Everybody in the group Molly Hatchet was incredible musician here's a little history of how Molly Hatchet got its name and what happened to the band members So who was Molly Hatchet? She was a serial killer from South Carolina in the late 1870s: a beautiful woman who lured men to her place and cut their heads off. Molly Hatchet that's were the band got there name from Unfortunately all the original band members have passed away Singer Danny Joe Brown passed away in 2005, guitarist Duane Roland died in 2006, drummer Bruce Crump passed in 2015, and guitarist Dave Hlubeck and bassist Banner Thomas died in 2017.

I had tickets to see Molly Hatchet in Rochester, NY with a buddy of mine while I was attending Cornell University sometime around 1981. I was driving my old truck that I had at the time, when it died shortly after leaving Ithaca. I imagine they were a lot of fun live, but alas, I never experienced it.

The cover is from artwork by Frank Frazetta. You should look him up, he has great Warrior Paintings and he did a lot of illustrations for Edgar Rice Burroughs "John Carter of Mars" books. His women are VERY sexy. I have a Three Book Collection of Frazetta's work. AWESOME!! Molly Hatchet always used his work for the covers.
