It is not legalized because of a stupid logic. As per indian judiciary marriage is sanctimonious and can not be bound by an agreement. At the same time marital cheating is now not illegal. Ecent after cheating, wife can ask for alimony and it is legally very hard to prove cheating. God knows why this two faced law is there. Either say marriage is sanctimonious and make any sort of cheating a valid reason for a quick divorce withoit any liability to wife. Or make marriage a legal agreement and let couples decide their alimony terms in pre nupital agreement.

the child should not carry a deadbeat father’s surname if they are unwilling to pay child maintenance and start showing zero income the moment they require to pay for the kids.
