Wife Has First Time Reaction To The Music of Final Fantasy (Prelude theme)

In this episode of TNT Gaming I had Tasha react to one of the most iconic pieces of Game music, The Final Fantasy Prelude theme. Most gamers know this theme as the introduction to the series before you start the game. It was very interesting to hear her thoughts about this piece coming from a non- Gamer perspective. You could see the pure joy on his face as the song took him back. Listening myself I felt a mixture of joy, nostalgia, and verge of happy tears. So many good memories attached to this series.

Started with ff8. Grew up watching my dad play it. I literally know the game like the back of my hand. I know where to go and if I happen to forget something it only takes me a bit of time to sit and reflect on what my dad did and I'll be right on track again

Fun fact: Nobuo Uematsu created the Prelude in 5 minutes. He had finished the first game's soundtrack but someone mentioned to him that they forgot to make a song for the title. The version you listened to is hardly the original but it's so iconic every game has it's own version. Also first Final Fantasy was 6 (3 at the time in the US) and if I may recommend for the classics 4, 7, 9, and 10 and for the more recent ones 16, 14, and 12.

The absolut best games in the world has like at maximum 5 tracks in this quality. Final Fantasy series has several games with over 50 in this quality, and more than 1000 in total.

This current Final Fantasy has some incredible songs. Battle themes are epic & others while traveling an area have a chill vibe.

I can't decide which I love more, the Final Fantasy Prelude or the Legend of Zelda Main Theme. Both are just so beautiful.

Yeah, that was only the Distant Worlds version of the prelude. 1-3 are relatively the same, except 1 is a lower pitch. IV is when they added the melody. The best ones for my ears are VI and VII(The latter especially for the remake versions)

I love ya'lls reactions, and if I may I have a video game song request. Could ya'll react to 14.3 Billion Years from Outer Wilds? Outer Wilds is about space exploration at the end of the universe. FF10 is always the safest bet for newcomers IMO. Classic story and the graphics aren’t too far behind for a person to be put off initially. Runner up of course would be 7… then 9 (my favorite but it is extremely slow paced)

My first FF game was 8. And even it was not the best, it is still my second Favorite part. No. 1, in my opinion, is 15. Awesome soundtrack. APOCALYPSIS NOCTIS

8 was soo good. I can’t believe it gets so much hate but the game was fun, it told a compelling story and the characters were just as enjoyable as any other ff character. I most enjoyed the card game though.

You know, it is hard to do any from the first 6 Final Fantasy games, so recommend playing FF 15 or 7 to start with first

my first final fantasy game i play was final fantasy 7 i love it so much. I also played the remake of ff7. I think tasha is right she might need to start from the beginning since all of them are stand alone final fantasies. each game has different characters and stories behind them.

I think that's the point. All of them are their own self contained stories in their own universes so realistically, u can start with any game in the series tho it depends on your experience

FF7 is fantastic and FF9 or FF10 is great as well. I loved FF8 but it's not in my opinion a good first game. Long time fans of the early games will undoubtedly agree with me when I say FF6 is the best of the first 10. I'm biased since I played FF7 first and it's a damn good game but I'd say it's the best first game and you have the option of playing the remake as well. Best saved for after you play the original but 100% not required in any way and holds up on it's own. Original is turn based, remake is action combat with turn based elements

If you like a lot of side missions and looting a lot then FF 15 plus each character in has it's skills you get build and XP you get build your characters, learn how to build your own spells to cast without having to buy all your spells and can add coins to your spells while crafting spells get you more XP in the game and game wants to earn more XP to level up your characters

The FF series is really great. If you plan on playing them, 7, 9, 10, and tactics are considered the golden era of the series. I can highly recommend all of those. Generally in the order of 10 working your way backwards, as it acclimitizes you to the older games as you go. 7 is widely considered the best in the series by most, as it's gotten a ton of spinoffs and sequels. The 7 remake is actually a sequel in an alternate universe, not a remake so I'd recommend playing the OG before it.

FF7 would be an amazing starter. I'm currently playing thru the games myself (FF9) but haven't really touched 10 yet so I can't recommend that personally but judging from others, it seems it will be good

I know this is way late, but for starting FFs, if you want to go with more modern, I'd say the FF7 Remake series or FF16 would both be good entry points. If she's cool with more retro, the pixel remasters would be a good place to start from the beginning. I personally found the PS1 era games to feel really dated if you didn't grow up with them, even more so than the NES/SNES ones IMO. FF10's always a good one. FF14 is amazing but being an MMO is a much bigger time commitment (but it's so worth it)
