I almost never comment on anything, I just so happen to see the clip of your wife going down on that low speed U-turn on @dandanthefireman KZbin channel. Decided to watch the full video and she handled it as expected and so did you. Great Job, it can be scary the first time you drop a bike. Beyond glad she decided to try again and persevere through the fear. You're a great teacher and mentor for her. Only piece of constructive criticism I got is please get her some ankle supportive ankle high boots or similar. Great job all around!

I remember my first time on a bike, i was 15, the bike (ZX6R) belonged to a complete stranger. As soon as i figured out the shifting i gave that bihh full throttle and went like 90 down a parking lot lol. i feel like if you start riding fast its easier than starting slow but thats just me XD

You could take a small wire cable clamp and put it on the throttle cable so I can only barely open. (Engine side of the cable) it won’t come undone and might let her disconnect from that past trauma a little better knowing she can only give it 5% throttle then slowly back it off little by little until you can take it off completely. Might mess up the throttle cable a little. But that’s $25 well spent. The ones I would recommend have the two screws and completely disassemble so you don’t have to remove the cable and feed it through and all that junk. Only use the ones that screw tight not clamp. Make sure she understands 100% that she should still always be aware of the throttle control and don’t just take it 100% off without slowly moving up.

I gave me friend my 250cc bike...my bike can't roll off just with the clutch but you have to give a tiny bit of throttle. He gave the clutch slowly but he whisky throttled so hard he almost crashed, but I ran after him and grabbed the clutch and thankfully the bike didn't fall on his leg. I'm now watching your videos and I think I have an idea how to teach him. He needs to get that muscle memory down.

Dang, im glad hes okay... Throttle and clutch control are probably the hardest things to learn for a new rider especially at the same time! Hopefully next time goes smoothly! 😁

Its a 2007 R6s (basically a 2004 r6) its straight piped with a voodoo slip on, engine is stock... It sounds super cool but its soooo loud in person!

@@IRideMotorcycles Like I said, it's going to be hard to feel bad when the motorcycle falls on her ankle and shes walking with a limp for the rest of her life. Go take some motorcycle lessons yourself please & thank you. They send people home at one of my local shops, don't believe me? They have a picture of your wife's ankle stating if you show up with exposed ankles you will be sent home and the reservation for $60 counts. 1stgearmotorcycle here in Vancouver.

Honestly I think the bikes to big for her to begin with. I'd get her started on a smaller dirt bike just so its safer and then get her a bike that's a good size for her.

pretty sure he understands she has abit of a trauma of it. He literally played the clip of whats probably going on inside her. Its just something she has to overcome and she probably will at some point. maybe just reving the sht out of it in neutral is the cure xD
