Just love the tone of the Norse games. Kratos has lost too much, and has done even more. He just wants to protect what little he has left and to make sure his son can take care of himself. He's harsh as hell, but only because that's all he's known all his life. Probably the most realistic character development in any media.

33:15 "Remember, control your anger" that was controlled anger, the skill is spartan rage but Kratos does not lose control. Correct. Kratos knew the reason his family died was his own anger and blood lust. So he'd hunt alone letting Animals attack him and try to control his anger for days on end. Atreus thought it was because kratos didn't want him but it's the opposite reason. One thing that always was true with kratos besides his strength, is his love for his family. He lost one family before and he can't fix it. So he's making sure they stay alive with the cost being his son feels he's hated or unwanted. Faye knew his nature and his past and tried to give him wisdom to him. Though it would soon be apparent he forgot her wisdom.

This is a nice format and especially for this game. It has a lot of dialogue and story thats not in cutscenes so at least this time you get to see some of that. 3:35 If you go back to the end of the zeus fight it shows the chains falling off his forearms. They are still bound to him tho as a prequel comic showed. I would also definitely say that Kratos controls his rage in this one, or at least a lot more than in the previous games. His spartan rage in this game is used more like a tool to help in battle rather than just blindly going into a rage when he gets mad. But anyways, cant wait for you to continue the story! The journey has only just begun! *Sidenote: Be careful of spoilers in the comment section. I'm seeing some who are kinda giving away information thats not revealed in the game's story yet.

Regarding on why Kratos was unsure what he learned from Faye (The mother that died) Kratos realized that his anger abd bloodlust caused his family to die by his hands. So he would go off on trips into the wild for days at a time alone harnessing his anger better to protect his famiky from that anger. Faye would teach autreus in the meantime but didn't understand why. One thing that always stuck with kratos was: He loved both of his families and their loss or them being in danger make him more dangerous. He loves his son but staying away to protect him left them seperated with atreus thinking he wasnt wanted. Thats far from the truth. And with his son being his last bit of family, he would tear the eorld apart to keep him safe.

One thing i always wondered and don't actually know if it's been confirmed in any way in the prequels or sequels, comics etc. But Kratos being a greek god of war, is the reason he seems exhausted, struggling to a degree in this not because of his age, but because he is a god who isn't worshipped and no longer in the domain of his own pantheon? So nothing to sustain him so to speak. Or is it something as simple as him having relied on his rage for so long to sustain him but at the beginning of this game at least, he didn't have that and nothing to take said rages place until Atreus became that source as cheesy as that sounds.

funny that they touched on when it comes to having to kill your food. I lived in a place outside of any easy-to-reach supermarkets. where we had to catch and skin our own food and everyone was encouraged to do the same because of the overpopulation issue. when you have an excess of deer, hogs, and rabbits. you see the horror they can reek out on the land and that leads to landslides. you have to have respect for what you hunt and to kill it quickly so it doesn't suffer. sure everyone could go vegan but unless you're growing your own food then you're basically eating food grown after being sprayed with poison. and most people don't realize just how much you have to grow to feed just two people especially if you're growing what's in season. and you have to get vitamin supplements for what you're not getting from meat.

For me, this is the first game where the camera continuously follows the characters, in short, there are no cut scenes. I don't remember this anywhere in other games. If there are videos for the entire game, then I will watch them with great pleasure.

Hi Guys, in God of war 1 if you noticed at end fight with Ares, he rips of the Chains from Kratos's hands

Pretty sure an explanation as to why he looks weak is bc he's using his mental strength too much to keep his anger under control, which would weaken his physical strength. Greek gods actually grow stronger as they age, and he too is stronger, just not giving it his 100% anymore (not even in this fight you watched), he's always nerfing himself by not allowing his rage take over. He did almost slip up in this video when he screamed at his son. In the first showcase of the game, he actually had his rage meter fill up super quick when he screamed at Atreus, but slooowly started to go down when he took a deep breath as he said "Only fire when I tell you to fire".

Lol stop saying he is stronger. It's literally stated several times in ragnarok that he is weaker and kratos himself tells Freya in the boat ride that he is weaker. Even Eric Williams says old kratos is weaker and had to train for years to get some of his skill back in between the years of this game and Ragnarok. All this crap about Greek gods getting stronger with age is all headcanon. It's never once stated that Greek gods get stronger with age in the god of war universe. Stop spreading false information. Yes Cory did say that kratos was stronger a couple years ago but that crap is obviously debunked heavily in the new game with the new director and kratos himself stating in the actual game that he is weaker.

@@calebstephan2083 yea ok dude no need for the hostility, but if what you're saying about what the devs confirmed is true then thanks for the correction.

@@calebstephan2083 He’s not weaker in the new games tho. He’s just, like Eric Williams said, rusty. He held back the entirety of both games so it’s hard to say if he is actually stronger now because he never let his rage take control. Most people say he’s stronger now because Cory Barlog said he’s stronger.

yeah i think This format is really good because unlike the previous GOW games, there is tonsssss of Character interaction in between the cutscenes which is very fun to listen to. And at the same time tonsss of lore is dropped in those interactions about this new world Kratos has got himself in. So I really think you should keep this style or else you will miss the best parts of the game aside from the Cinematic Cutscenes.

Fun fact: the lyrics of the song in this moment: 8:15 are saying "outlawed god" as we see Kratos in the hallway in a new place far from his home, looking at his son who he knows is a god. All the songs with lyrics the game are in old norse, which was spoken by the vikings and is basically Icelandic as its spoken identically and is the closest to the old norse of all the scandinavian languages (not saying that the others arent close in any way, just saying that Icelandic has the most resemblance to the old norse).

With Kratos its more Rage than Anger. Good Vid 🎯👍💯
@Jeeboi27
@Jeeboi27 Жыл бұрын
About the part where Kratos talks about using anger as a weapon by controlling it... It may seem he does not have control over his rage (especially on the previous games), but if you think about it, he IS angry all the time, but he does not go around rampaging and killing everybody in a mindless rage. He’s still remains strategic and tactical inspite of being full of rage. He always has a goal in mind, and he uses all his anger and rage to fuel himself and reach those goals. Plus he doesnt go around and just kill indiscrimately, he only kill those who deserve it and those who stand in his way... So he does have control over his rage and anger, not in a sense where he can keep it down, but instead use it as a weapon to overcome his enemies...

I'm so glad yall decided to switch the videos up, from what i saw in the split second when you paused it before you cut off, it appears the original vid mixed clips from the 2018 game and Ragnarok, its sequel, in what i can only guess is what the uploader thought 'made sense'. For someone who may have played the games, that could've worked, for everyone else though that is horrifically confusing and spoiler ridden
