i am an aged woman desiring to fulfill the role described by Titus 2:4-5. how do i do this? what is the context of Titus when he said to "love your husband"?

As brother Paul said, to love your husband is to respect and honor him, and to submit to his authority as the head of the family.

There is no such thing as biblical "partnership." You have husband's and you have wives, two distinct and very different stations in life with different duties and in a hierarchical relationship.

@Ashlee Johnson Why not? When God created Eve, He made it very clear that she would be his “helpmate.” God did not tell Adam to treat Eve as his servant. The instructions for the husband and wife as outlined by the apostle Paul is also clear.

@@DevotedGospel1 Yes, very, very clear. A wife is to serve her husband and obey him in everything. Even if he's a non believeror a terrible Christian. A husband is to love his wife and to lead her, and teach her. Teaching her and about her role as a wife and expecting her to be trying to fulfill her role is absolutely what he is supposed to do.

Can pastors stop saying men and women are equal. When you affirm equality you demolish male headship. I know Baptists love the spiritual equality of men and women, but its been a disastrous doctrine.

Equal in essence, equal in Christ, equal in the image of God. But completely different in roles, function, and their place in the divinely-ordained hierarchy.

Same old trope. It's all the men's fault. It is true that the man has the final responsibility, but not everything is his fault. God held the woman (Eve) accountable for what she did personally. Pastors need to teach what the word says to women without even bringing what the man is supposed to do into the conversation.
