I bully him about his poor breakfast choices and he always said “did you ever complain?!” And I’m like you’re right 😂 if anything the sugar intake just made it difficult for the parents. Of course I only saw him occasionally, everyday not too nice probably haha

That military dad is toxic, the timer and food decisions can lead to eating disorders, he is mansplaining everything and have such a narrow sigh on the world. He is acting like a child, making himself the victim. The poor girl has no contact with her friends and don't get to live out her childhood. One thing is having chores, but when they take over your whole life it's bad...The dad is showing so many abusive behaviours it's making me sick. My father acted like this all the time and i later found out it was abuse. I now have a bad relationship with my dad, i can't even hug him. He made me sick and i was diagnosed with ptsd. These people never realize how it impacts their kids.. Emotional and psychologic abuse can lead to countless problems later in life. He needs to wake up.

Mum's behaviour isn't any better. Expecting the kids to do as they are told when she says? I'm sure if someone told her to sit down and shut her mouth, she'd have something to say about it. Children can't control their emotions, they learn that as they get older and the only way for them to do that is to express them as children. I'd have loved to have seen her cry about something and for her husband to tell her to shut up and stop acting like a baby, so she could see how insane those rules in the 'naughty chair' were. Both parents are emotionally abusive.

The too much discipline is worse abuse. Setting them up for failure and urging them to hate the parent. I know, I was a child once and my parents did this to me. I hate them so much and it’s why I spent most of my life suicidal. I can tell they are evil and behind closed doors they are probably even worse. The fear in the children’s eyes. The fact there is no pictures of family on the walls. It’s all telling signs. I would take the lenient household ANY day.

Did you notice that the four boys are only gaming on the weekend now? And they did have a pool party (offline, with friends) - real fun! We don't know if the boys are rude to other people in public. My kids were sometimes very rude to me, but they were VERY well-behaved in public. I was their safe haven where they could practice what was acceptable and what was not. None of my kids are heading for jail. They're very empathetic young adults. As a single mom of three (their father died when they were very young) I simply couldn't discipline them all the time. It would have ruined their childhood and my life. I didn't want to scold them and degrade them, they're people just like grown-ups. Praise is better than punishment if you want to raise independent, responsible people who can think for themselves!

If I was a kid in the militant household I would be in the naughty 'corner' the whole time, what are they going to do if I'm naughty all the time because I do exactly what I'm told to do but still don't get what I want? The same with the fruit and veg rules, it is not 5 of 1 and 2 of the other, it's 5 of either, they can mix and match as they want as long as it's 5 servings in TOTAL, they're not adults, they don't need to eat the same! Sable seems terrified of both of her parents and looks like she's always about to burst into tears. Wow, the way the militant dad spoke to the laid back mum during the rule change. I get everyone having strong feelings about the dad who is militant, but I am really disturbed also by how rude and disrespectful the quads are. These parents are choosing the easy way so they won't be bothered but they don't think about their social responsiblity in raising these 4 boys this way and then sending them out into the world. They are the type of co-worker, roommate, friend, boyfriend, husband and neighbor NO ONE will want. My mom was a cleaning nut. And made me absolutely hate cleaning because it was never ever vlean enough. And now I live in a mess. I wonder all the time if she was less cleaning nazi would I be a neater person now. I think so. One of my best friends has the exact opposite experience.
