Not everyone here in the United States has “unnecessary forming accent” when you’ve been here for over 20 years like I have and you got here when you’re still young your accent changes naturally by itself as you communicate with white and black Americans alike. Lanb just got here maybe little over 3 years, his accent have gotten thick so his accent is not going to change it has already developed into maturity so his accent won’t change. But not everyone with an American accent who originated from Africa is forming.
@goodboykay68793 жыл бұрын
@@francisnezer8915 Yeah. I totally agree. Not everyone "forms". But then again, i know my Nigerian people very well. A lot of them would have developed some weird pseudo-american accent mixed with the strong African intonation if they were in Lambs shoes. Thats why i appreciate Lamb for not even trying so hard to imitate the american accent but rather stays true to himself.

First off- happy belated Independence Day to Nigeria 🇳🇬!! As a born and raised American I understand Ling's hesitation/resistance. She was very adamant when she said she does not eat spicy food. Lamb is Nigerian and he was sweating and barely maintaining. Exchange of cultural foods is always wonderful, however you have to baby step those who are not used to certain spice levels. Now I'm on my way to get some egusi (not spicy), pounded yams and a side of smoked turkey. 🤗😚✌🏾

You guys are just cute together! Pepper soup is more enjoyable in cold weather. And all the ingredients used in making pepper soup have their medicinal benefits especially when someone is sick. Pepper soup is the kind of meal that comes to mind in Nigeria 🇳🇬 or in some other African countries to prepare for anyone that’s sick and can’t eat or having difficulty to eat due to lost of appetite. Pepper soup wakes or brings your appetite to life. If a sick person is able to take in at least 5 tablespoons of pepper soup, trust me, in the next 1 or 2 hours, the supposed sick person will sure ask for food because the pepper soup had done the magic of cleansing through the person’s tongue to the throat and to the stomach! Oh yeah!!!😀

It's actually good for you! Internal sauna! It clears the sinuses, aids digestion, revs up the metabolism, helps you poop if you're having constipation and energises you. Red peppers are also rich in Vitamin C. We give pepper soup to anyone convalescing as it stimulates the body's enzymes and gets things back to working, like revving up your engine. That's why Lamb mentioned the type we make for new mothers. And you eventually build up tolerance, so it won't always be like that. People from cultures that eat pepper in high doses are typically organically energetic and vibrant. No need for stimulants. We have the healthy alternative! 👊🏻👊🏽👊🏿

That was actually the first dish I had being an African American. My sisters boyfriend, now hubby, made it for me. He said he didn't make it spicy for me. Everyone knows when a Nigerian says that it means its hotness is a level 8 out of 10. I tried it and to my surprise it had just the right amount of spice. So when I married my Naijaman we moved to Abuja and I said OMG I gotta have Pepper Soup its one of my favorite dishes. I took a huge spoon full and literally my armpits were on FIRE!!! Hell to the No. I've learned to stay in my lane. My hubby on the other hand was sweating everywhere. His shirt was soaked. I was like really.....??.I love it thou...Ling almost got punched. LOL!

Westerners go to the sauna to sweat out toxins. Africans eat pepper and achieve the same thing plus they get the energising nutrients it contains. I can't see myself shut in a hot cubicle, sweating, and paying a chunk for the privilege. But I am all for sweating over a bowl of nutritious, delicious pepper soup. It feels like an engine tune-up! 😊 And you get used to it after a while. Even African babies get used to pepper 🌶 🥣.

Ling, Sis, I married an Igbo man too, but I moved TO Nigeria. My husband tried to kill me with Pepper Soup too. Goat. It was so hot 🔥 that even the OUTSIDE of my mouth burned!!! They don't even eat breakfast food where I am. Everything is a hot, spicy, heavy meal. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I lost so much weight the first few months. I'm more acclimated now. Food without spice tastes weird now lol! But I still can't eat that level of spice. Egusi soup with semole is my favourite!

You stepped it down with chilled maltina, stout, star, gulder or any kind of good beer brand. Trust me you’ll love it. You’ll sweat all the cold out and your throat will clear out of mucus.
