Hello, I am transitioning gray hair and no longer going to color my hair,. However, I have important events coming up weddings, and birthday parties. I am not about to color my hair so I decided to look into wearing a wig. Thank you for your tips. I am more at ease.

I have not lost my hair but would love to start wearing different wigs for a change. I am growing out my hair and letting it go grey. I’m fed up with dying my hair.

Such good info, thank you! It took me a year until I finally found a wig I was comfortable and confident in and it changed my whole journey. I did exactly what you said not to do with the first wig I bought, I put it on, looked in the mirror, immediately took it off and returned it, lol.
@TheWiggyWoman3 жыл бұрын
I am so glad you found that wig that really changed your whole journey! Trial and error is tough but you got through it! It is so funny you immediately returned your first one! That is so common, and why I mentioned it! I actually specifically wore Angie in this video because it was a wig that I tried on, and it was so different from my dark brown bio hair- so I was unsure at first and was totally going to return it… but gave her a little more time and now she’s one of my favorites!

Great video! I wore extensions for years!! I just ventured into the wig world a couple of months ago! I have 9! I love them! I have curled ones, long blonde ones and two toned ones! I'm pretty bold and change up my look weekly!

Tx for these tips. Very helpful. Must say I usually buy short to medium styles in the colours across the warm blond spectrum. Recently though I had the opportunity to purchase a HM Daisy wig. My first hand tied wig in 8/27/33H. I'm having such a hard time liking this piece as it is so far from my usual colour. I keep putting it on, but for the life of me just can't hack it. I can't return it as it was on sale. I've thought of selling it on line, but here in South Africa the wig wearing fraternity is rather small. I'm in a quandary 🤷♂️
@TheWiggyWoman3 жыл бұрын
Do you feel like you can't hack it because it actually looks bad, or is a bad wig? Or, are you just not comfortable seeing yourself with brown hair? I suspect, if someone who didn't know you saw you at the market if they'd think your brown hair was lovely!

I am new to the “wig world”. My hair is thinning and I am now wearing a wig! Yay me! Should I wear a wig cap to protect my real hair?

Affordability is my issue. The wigs you mentioned are beautiful, but I can't pay over $2,000 for one wig. Please over realistic companies for women who want to look great on a budget.

I’ve been trying to decide on the perfect wig for months now. These were some really good tips and maybe it’s just time for me to finally get the hair I’ve always wanted!
@TheWiggyWoman3 жыл бұрын
Everyone’s definition of “perfect wig” is different! If perfect means exactly like your bio hair, I can see why that’s a hard search… but if perfect means “my dream hair” it really gets easier because there’s so many options! I can’t wait to see what you come up with! Tag me on Instagram when you find it!

I haven't been losing hair, I just want to get a wig to dye it emerald green. I want to see myself in emerald green but I don't want to dye my hair green because it fades kinda icky and once green pigments are in the hair they won't come out

How do you suggest I put my bio hair up to prepare for wig wearing? I have pritty long hair medium thickness on back and crown. My sides and hairline are thinning. Do I need a cap and band? or neither? TIA
@TheWiggyWoman2 жыл бұрын
French braid it in two braids and then you can kind of tuck them both into the wig at the nape of the neck. Or you can pin curl your hair under the wig so when the wig comes off, your hair is curled! If you have enough hair under your wig that you want to keep it flattened and hidden, you'll benefit from a Wig Grip/Wig Cap combo.

Do you get more wear out of a synthetic wig or real hair wig ? I have synthetic and HD, I burn up . What wigs would be cooler ? I wear a brown hair wig and I always had highlights but, I have trouble finding a brown wig with highlights . Is there any company that sells brown straight wigs that has highlights? Love your channel. Have a blessed weekend 💞
@TheWiggyWoman3 жыл бұрын
Without question - Human Hair gets much more wear. Human hair wigs also run cooler.... but, they are much more maintenance and you can't just wash and go with Human Hair. They're also more expensive. If you get a human hair wig, in a lighter shade like a blonde, you can always have the brown added to darken it up - or look at colors like Toffee Truffle from Jon Renau which is one I like for it's highlight pattern! You can find Jon Renau Human Hair Wigs at Wigstudio1.com

I’m currently trying to find reliable wig options for my 74yr old mother who was recently diagnosed with cancer within the last few weeks. She will be undergoing chemotherapy and was advised to find a comfortable quality wig during this time. I’m one that does a lot of research before purchasing anything important but this subject I don’t even know where to begin. Not so I think I would recognize a wig that isn’t good quality over one that is, outside of the basic aesthetic of materials being used. My mother is very frugal and will get upset if we spend a lot for this but at the same time I want her to have a quality product. Do you have names of places you support that you could offer. Any tips very welcome. Thanks

New to your channel, just found you. Can you answer a question about shampoo to use, can you use regular baby shampoo on the wigs? Thank you for doing your videos.
@TheWiggyWoman3 жыл бұрын
Hey there and welcome!! I do have a video on my favorite products to extend the life of wigs - are you using baby shampoo on a Synthetic Wig, or a Human Hair wig? Short answer is, yes it would be ok, but it can dry out your wigs a little faster than if you used a product specifically designed for wigs. Here's my video on my fave products if you wanted to learn more: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j6GYdYKiaNeGbpY

Hi, I’m Leda Carol Branham. I’ve been losing my hair on top and getting thinner on sides. I’m a very nervous person. I shake everyday of my life. If nerves is my problem, I just don’t know, but I don’t like going out because of my hair. I always had beautiful hair, it was a thick anyway I wanted to fix it I could. But now in a few months I’ll be 70 years old and my grey hair has platinum in it. My scalp stands out so noticeable that I’m losing my top hair and side. What I want is a grey and platinum shoulder length. My husband always say why don’t you flip your hair up on the ends, but I’ve seen such beautiful wigs that look the way I used to wear my hair. But I need help, I just don’t know what to get, my face is round I am fat but not fat that I’m hobby fat. I wear 18/20 and I wear dresses always when going out. I like fashions very well,i try to stay dressed in the fashions of today. I would like a look at a wigs or hairpiece but I try going to Church but I’m ashamed of myself. Could someone help me to decide at what wig or hairpiece that would match my face. Thanks for reading this.

Do you tell people that it’s a wig? I mean if someone compliments your hair, do you let them know it’s a wig?
@TheWiggyWoman3 жыл бұрын
I consider it like spanx - If it's someone I am comfortable sharing my beauty secrets with (which is most people) then yes. I've even told ladies at the grocery store who compliment my hair that it's a wig.... you never know who you are helping by sharing so I generally side with sharing.
