I have an odd question. I am in chemo and have lost my hair. The first wig I had I just couldn't get comfortable with it because the bangs drove me crazy. Finally figured out why. I am left handed and part my hair on the opposite side. I now have the Raquel Welch Spotlight Elite and I am so intimidated by this wig. How do I make the lace front lay flat? How do I deal with the few front hairs that just won't comb back and hang in my face. This is a beautiful wig and I'm afraid to wear it.

Hi Patti your videos are very insightful and very helpful in so many ways. I have very thin hair moreso on top but keep my bio hair at about shoulder length to have hair when I wear hats and to help tuck in my wig. I’ve tried cutting very short and shaving but I do t like it that way. Can you or do you already have a video out that shows the best way to put your own hair up and get the wig over your own hair in the back? Not so long that it goes down your back but around shoulder length in a pointy tail with clips to keep it pulled up so it doesn’t show underneath - or you help me please to see the best way! Would love that! Thx!

Wigs by Patti's Pearls you are AWESOME! I absolutely love how she does her hair. My hair is long enough in the back to do what she did. I’m going to try it tomorrow as I have the bands and the clips. My hair loss is basically male pattern baldness with very little hair on top. I’ve let it grow because I usually wear a wig or hat when I go out and only go ‘topless’ ’ at home. What bangs I do have are very dry so dampening them will help pull them back neatly. They aren’t long enough to combine in the bun so what I will continue to do is pull them back towards the back of my head as far as they’ll go and use a clippie to keep them secure (around the area where the top of your head starts becoming the back of your head lol)! Thank you for such great tips and tricks. You are the best!

Patti are you supposed to put the wig below the widows peek or above it? Like where is the hair line if you have a W P? Thanks. And if you look at the top of my 29.99 wig, when you identify the part line, is that always supposed to be sraight in the middle of your head or not? I am confused about that. lol I did put the coconut oil on it a bit and that made it FLATTER. lmao. But in the future i will be buying what you told me to buy. Hand tied and monof. THanks
@Wigsbypattispearls Жыл бұрын
When you have a wp, it can be a bit more difficult. Once you put a wig on, it will generally slide into where it should naturally be based on your head shape and size. Depending on the individual wig and how it fits, it may or may not cover your wp. We've actually had some people who shaved that area and we've had others that were completely comfortable with it sticking out a bit.

@@Wigsbypattispearls Thanks! Wow I saw somebody removing some wefting on their wig. But I’m not going to try that. That looks risky. Also it’s weird how the wig that I most like now and have been working with, it looks best on the styrofoam head. I took a pic of me with the wig on and sent it to my sister. I told her I dyed my hair and she believed me. But even in the pic it looks different and not as good as the fake head. Weird!! I did shave my widows peek. It was just weird how it’s harder to see a straight hair line. I can’t wait to buy some of your 200 $ wigs.

…but also the wig looked different than in person and the pic . It looked smaller and not as bushy in the pic.

I just bought a wig wore it on new years 2018 noone noticed.Now i bought a blonde wig wanna wear it but am affraid ppl will notice.It doesnt have those combs to make secure any sugestions? Allso it doesnt have lace it does have a parting but it looks like imitation skin..pretty weird not lace at all.Can you make a video about such wigs i havent found 1 online with that imitation latex skin parting on a wig.Should i blend it in with my makeup conceler? And do you recommend powder or creme conceler to blend it in? The first wig does has the combs to secure it and is a lace frontal.Greetings from The Netherlands.
@Wigsbypattispearls7 жыл бұрын
The lace fronts do make them very realistic! For the ones without lace fronts most people use a cream concealer and blend it in. If you don't mind bangs you could have bangs cut to cover it up.

Hi Patti, You say the wig you are wearing is Jazz & color is12FS8 . Can you tell me if it is a mono & lace top or "permatise" machine. No one around here do Jon R wigs. I was looking at the Noriko Mason wig that looks very similer to the one you are wearing. Would you say so Patti? HELP NEEDED Please oxox
@Wigsbypattispearls8 жыл бұрын
+Jean Sanderson Patti is wearing the Mono Jazz which has the mono top but not a lace front. Jon Renau also makes a regular Jazz without the monofilament which is much cheaper but the one with the mono top looks much more natural. Mason by Noriko is similar. It's a little longer and the layers are a little longer. The jazz has a sassier look. The Mono Jazz is the cutest and most natural look but if you were looking for something similar and a little cheaper then Mason is a good option.

i notice you never use a wig cap?..any particular reason?
@Wigsbypattispearls8 жыл бұрын
+epd0126 Wig caps are simply a preference to what feels more comfortable to each person. Also, when wearing a fully handtied wig they are so comfortable that a wig cap really isn't needed unless you have a really sensitive scalp. If you are wearing a completely machine wefted wig then a wig cap will probably feel better on your head. Again, this is just a preference.

Can’t see it
@Wigsbypattispearls2 жыл бұрын
Hi Pam! If you are referring to Patti's Signature Hairline, it requires being very close to the hairline to see it. Overall, it creates the appearance of baby hairs at the hairline for a natural look. Since bio hair doesn't have a perfect hairline, this customization allows your wig hairline to have a somewhat "imperfect" look as well.

I been patting mine down because there is too much dang hair. I keep thinning it out too. I think i will have to buy a mans wig but a lace front.
@Wigsbypattispearls Жыл бұрын
Hi! Since you're looking for a wig with little to no density and volume, we recommend looking at monofilament top or hand-tied wig caps. Those will have no permatease and usually have a more natural amount of hair. If you get a wig that has wefting at the top, it will feel thicker.
@iluvturtlezcatz1396 Жыл бұрын
@@Wigsbypattispearls Omg thank u so much. I just learned that finally on another channel right before you messaged me. She said something about the monofilament is more FLATTER at the top. The wefting u describe makes so much since. It feels thicker. Of course I started off buying the 29.99 wigs from Paula young. So you know , u get what u pay for. lol. I have always had man type of style and flat to my head. I don’t like all the poofiness. And I knew the monofilament you could part both ways from years ago when I looked up videos but today and yesterday just learned from you that the hand tied monofilament is the way to go since they tend to be thinner . And of course those are 100-200. Which I don’t mind. And just today or yesterday I learned of the density from u and another video .I didn’t see that on Paula young’s site. Also I cut my hair to like 0.5 inch all over my hair. And the wigs I put on stayed in place better in the back. But today I shaved all my head and noticed the same wig is riding up in the back. I realize now shaving my head was not necessary. But funny how now I put on a winters type of hat and it stays on so good because my no hair is acting like Velcro on felt or something. Thanks for your comment. You all are experts.!! Good nite.
